Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"No problem." I say.

Shadow Stephanie and I melt slightly as our bodies turn into a sort of held-together darkness. The pair of us glide to the back of Xlentia's mouth before letting ourselves melt into Xlentia's throat.

"This is one of the weirdest things I have ever done." Shadow Stephanie comments.


"I promise." Abigail says, smiling.

 

"If you notice significant movement, that means I'm reacting to you, and unless you want to rebuild your palace, it's time to bail."


"I... don't have a name. I'm the new vault guard, though. Like, I thought Xlentia's chambers had a whole bunch of gold, but... if I was allowed to show you, I would. Her vault is terrifyingly huge and filled to the brim!" They say in awe.

"Darn. Then, I have no idea. I guess I'll just start translating, then." He says, walking off to the tablets.

 

Crystal shifts his eyes to follow the couple, one eye for each of them, checking for any patterns in movement.

 

"Gotcha." I say, slipping down Xlentia's throat with Shadow Stephanie.

"We should check her stomach for anything suspicious. If there's something causing her paralysis, then it might be there." Shadow Stephanie says.


"Are you sure you can't show me?" Abigail asks, trying to look cute.

 

It's hard to track, but for a bit, you notice that they keep you perfectly between them, then they try to keep one of themselves above you.

"I'll give you a warning if I feel you. If I feel you too much down there, you'll start noticing reactions."


"...Yes. My shift just ended."

 

Crystal thinks for a bit before slowly advancing on Rineth, but still keeping watch on the both of them.

 

"Hopefully we'll get you moving again soon, Xlentia." Shadow Stephanie says before she and I descend into Xlentia's stomach.

"Eugh, this is like the seventh time I've been in someone's stomach and it's still gross." I say.

"Shut up and help me look for anything strange." Shadow Stephanie says, looking around Xlentia's stomach.


"Are you suuuure?" Abigail asks, batting her eyelids.

 

They start circling you.

"Thanks..."
There's nothing strange. Or, at least, everything's strange, so you have no idea what is or isn't actually strange.


"That doesn't work well on other women." She says flatly.

 

Shadow Stephanie and I decide to split up, looking for anything that looks out of place.


"Worth a shot," Abigail says, turning to leave, "See you later, then."

Abigail walks away, checking behind her after a bit to look at the draconian.

 

There's nothing much, except for sugar. A lot of sugar.


"Bye, miss."

The draconian seems to digitize and disappear, the process taking hardly any time at all.

 

I decide to look around in the sugar for anything hidden within, while Shadow Stephanie tries exploring the very end of Xlentia's stomach.


Abigail quickly dashes back to where the draconian was, looking for the hidden passage.

 

Crystal advances quicker, moving sideways as well to prevent Rineth from circling easily.

 

There's nothing hidden, but as Stephanie heads back, there's some unexpected movement, Xlentia's stomach rumbling for a bit afterwards.
"Watch it..."


She can't find it. Maybe with her visor...? She'd have to go home for that, though...

They both seem to stop moving.

 

Crystal continues, turning down to a slower advance, and getting ready.

 

Shadow Stephanie and I meet back up.

"If she ate something that paralysed her, it'd be digested and the toxins would go into her bloodstream, right?" I ask.

"Mmhmm...if it's not in here, and her intestines are a no go, I feel like we could try and get into her bloodstream to sort this out." Shadow Stephanie says.

"How would we do that though?" I ask, feeling the walls of Xlentia's stomach with my spare hand.


Abigail fumbles around blindly, hoping to find a hidden switch or the like.

 

They both wait, almost challenging Crystal to make the first move.

It burns your hand and causes more sudden movements.
"Hey, hey! Be more careful! Also, keep in mind I've only eaten the sugar recently. That's it."


Nothing.

 

"Sorry!" I say, quickly retracting my hand.

"So...what could it be?" Shadow Stephanie asks, sitting down on some sugar to think.

"Maybe her brain?" I ask, sitting down next to Shadow Stephanie.

The pair of us think things over for a bit.


Abigail seems rather frustrated, before deciding to wait around for the next guard to come.

 

"Hey, your palace, not mine. I can fund reconstruction, but it'd cost you your favor if it's your fault I hurl." Xlentia responds, annoyed.


Nobody comes.

 

"Did you feel anything before you couldn't move anymore?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


Abigail sighs, annoyed, going back to the library and getting a Shadow to take her back to the Shadow Palace.

"Uh...Xlentia...when did you get here?" Abigail asks, surprised and confused, easily noticing Xlentia from the gates.

 

Crystal stays still, shifting to form a spear "in" his hands, keeping tight watch.
