Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, consider showing up in a few more clothes. I have to talk to my lady; I realized something that may pose a problem in our relationship."

 

"What's up with you two?" Abigail asks, "And why do I need more clothes?"

 

"Ah, yes. You caught me there. The scribes are loaned, and they shall be returned in three months' time."

 

"You'll find out soon on both counts." He says, hand on the last dial.

"I don't need scribes. What else? There's more."

 

Abigail just waits, thinking.

 

"Please step out so I don't drag you to the library."

 

"Oh, sorry." Abigail says, stepping out of the elevator, skipping a bit on the cold metal edge.

 

Sivius turns the dial and seeks out Shadow Stephanie.

 

Shadow Stephanie appears to be reading on the second floor of the library, her clothing back to her casual short sleeved shirt, jeans and black boots.

 

Sivius stands up in front of her and kisses her.
"Milady, I need to speak with your goddess. The task she gave me is impossible to perform without harming this realm." He whispers.

 

Shadow Stephanie seems caught quite off guard by the kiss, blushing.

"You can try and pray at her statue, darling. It's where Aj and I have spoken to her before." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

 

"Where is it located?" He asks.

 

"I'll show you." Shadow Stephanie says happily, taking Sivius' claw and leading him down the stairs and out of the library.

 

He smiles as Shadow Stephanie leads him.
"Thanks. It's that... if she lives in a timeless dimension, I cannot enter without damaging it severely, as she has challenged I do."

 

"I think this should solve that." Shadow Stephanie says, looking back at Sivius and smiling happily.

Shadow Stephanie leads Sivius to a rather holy looking set of doors, opening them and heading through. A large, crystal statue of a well armoured female Shadow occupies a good half of the room, dark energy flowing through it. The expression of the statue appears to be calm, her hands together as if holding something to show.

"You can pray to Tenebrae here. This is probably the strongest connection to her you'll find." Shadow Stephanie says happily.

 

"Pray anywhere in the room, or in contact with the statue?"

 

"Facing the statue, optimally. You don't need to touch the statue." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling at Sivius, a calm look in her eyes.

 

"Okay, thanks." He says, approaching and kneeling towards the statue before closing his eyes and bowing to it.

 

As Sivius prays, he feels the darkness around him grow, a slight connection forming.

"I had a feeling you'd do well." Tenebrae says, her tone impressed.

 

"You knew it was impossible from the start?" He asks, more to confirm.
