"I've also gone on a few preservation runs, looking for grievously-near-extinct species. On the less noble side, I've relieved a few temples of their priests at the blades' request."

 

"You're just...I-I don't know what to say, the most amazing person I've ever met?" Shadow Stephanie says, her love for Sivius clearly growing stronger.

 

"It can wait." I say, "I have an appointment I need to tend to, farewell."
I the teleport to the hut from last night.

 

"I've met more accomplished, but I've never met someone who had any interest in me personally." He says, smiling.

"Thanks!"

The sorceress seems to be gathering a few things and putting them just outside her door.

 

"Shall we order our food?" Shadow Stephanie asks, smiling.

 

"Tell me what to try. Again, I haven't had food in a while. I'll look into getting you a bottle of spectre's blood, though." He offers.

 

"Aw. I'd love to try it with you." Shadow Stephanie says happily, blushing, before calling the waiter over.

"Sivius and I will both have spaghetti and meatballs." Shadow Stephanie orders.

"Spaghetti and meatballs for the sir and his lady. Very good." The waiter says, taking the menus away. He soon returns and places a fork, knife and spoon in front of Shadow Stephanie and Sivius.

 

Sivius nods, remaining silent until the waiter leaves.
"I think you'll like it. Light taste, and it sticks around a while. Hard to get, though. Few spirits bleed."

 

"I've never met a spirit with enough of a physical presence to form a cardiovascular system," Shadow Stephanie says, "Though the concept of new blood to taste is certainly...delicious sounding. Especially if I get to share it with you."

Shadow Stephanie takes a sip of wine, smiling.

 

Sivius smiles.
"It's a bit of a delicacy. On a side note, might I ask why one of your reality's gods had been monitoring me?"

 

"Hm? Whom?" Shadow Stephanie asks, sounding a little worried.

 

"I feel watched by a dark, immortal entity." He says, alert.

 

"Tenebrae?" Shadow Stephanie suggests.

 

"If it is your god, perhaps you could ask them why they're keeping tabs on me during our date?"

 

"Well, I-" Shadow Stephanie tries to say.

"Your blades. I sense one with massive dark power, yet another the opposite." Tenebrae's voice says.

 

Sivius stands up, eyes burning twilight as he looks for Tenebrae.
"Correct, immortal." He says, uneasy.

 

Sivius easily finds Tenebrae; she appears to be all around him.

"I am Tenebrae, as the queen stated. I am the goddess of darkness, and of this realm. I was simply curious as to the large conflicting powers I sensed as you entered. Please don't let me disturb your date, I can see my queen has chosen quite well." Tenebrae says.

Shadow Stephanie looks a little distraught.

 

"It may be a bit late for that, but I cannot contest your reasoning." He says, sitting back down.

 

Upset, Crystal lays down with a 'thump'.

"Do you think we will be departing any time soon?"
I suddenly ask Xelentia.

 

"Probably." She responds. "Why?"
