Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well I mean, you've shown literally no combat ability so far, nor do you look like you're ready to fight anyone. I honestly don't know what the others see in you." Abigail says bluntly.

 

"No, her name's Xelentia. We're looking for Sivius."
I catch on a bit quicker than Crystal.
"Are you saying that Sivius is with Xelentia?"

 

"Your shadow partner declined to fight. Would you like to duel?" Sivius asks.

"Sivius with Xelentia. Sivius with Xelentia." The bird repeats.

 

"I thought you didn't know who Sivius was."

 

"Didn't know." The bird mocks.

 

"Eh, sure. I'll stroke your ego some more." Abigail says, getting up.

 

Sivius draws his rapier, the paradoxium edge being the first noticeable thing once again.
"To blood or to death?" He asks, eyes flaring with twilight.

 

"Uh, blood I guess?" Abigail says, slightly unnerved.

 

I look towards Crystal.
"Well, if we go, and don't find him, I can just fly us back here and we can continue looking. So there's no real harm in at least checking."
"Okay, let's go, then."
I lead, running off towards Xelentia, and Crystal follows.

 

"Blood it is. Are you ready?" He asks, getting in a combat stance.
"And you, shadow. No empowering her. Not for this duel."

Sivius seems to be about to duel Abigail.

 

Shadow Stephanie just looks away, depressed.

Abigail extends her claws, her stance looking ready.

 

"Hey!"
Crystal shouts, before I hold him back.
"Stand down. It'll be okay."
I continue to watch after calming Crystal.

 

Sivius seems to be ready to jab at Abigail, even though he's far from melee range.

 

Abigail's visor locks onto Sivius, and Abigail seems to look slightly past Sivius as she waits.

 

"Are you sure you're ready? I'm not going to hold anything back."

 

"Are we starting or are we going to talk it out?" Abigail asks, clearly ready.

 

"We're starting in two seconds." Sivius says, still unmoving.

 

Abigail remains ready, waiting.

 

In exactly two seconds, Abigail's visor overloads with information, and by the time it settles down, Sivius seems to be standing down.

 

"What? Are you not even going to fight?" Abigail asks.
