Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh...right..." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding depressed, "I- I mean, my group and I were hoping you'd join us in the battle against the hive master. You certainly made a name for yourself, so we were hoping you'd help us."

 

"Surely you've thought about reasons to convince me?" He asks, well aware he's not the one asking for a favor.

 

"Uhhh..." Shadow Stephanie says, her mind a rushed mix of emotions and thoughts, "You'd...be...saving this realms many gods and ending years of war and chaos? As well as going down in history as a saviour of this realm?"

 

"And if I broke away for the sake of vanishing like the illegitimate being I am?" He asks, seeming unmoved.
In fact, his expression and tone hasn't changed this entire time.

 

"You'd go down as one of the greatest cowards in the history of this realm, not brave enough to even fight the hive master because he thinks he's some kind of illegitimate being," Shadow Stephanie says, struggling to keep her emotions under control, "Why do you think you're an illegitimate being?"

 

"Because I am. I was a spliced version of Vesius. He volunteered to take heat for me, and helped me make a deal with the Hive Master himself to break away."

 

"Vesius? Then, surely you know Ihra?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"No, but I presume she is Iris' successor."

 

"Uh...well...maybe you could kill the hive master with us to prove your legitimacy to Vesius and everyone else?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

Sivius seems cross. Still.
"Actions don't change facts."

 

"Actions can change outlooks." Shadow Stephanie adds.

 

"Outlooks are not facts. I live for those who have been buried and forgotten, and I will break all censors I am called against. If you wish to use me as a tool for your ideals, prove you don't need me."

 

"We've survived long enough without your help. You want proof we don't need you? Fine!" Shadow Stephanie says, angry, storming out of the hut and phasing through the door.

Shadow Stephanie storms out of the village, trying to keep herself together.

 

He simply appears in front of Shadow Stephanie.
"You need to make progress, not survive. Survival leads you to become those I represent."

 

"We have made progress! We fucking freed Xlentia and made her armour to prevent her from being mind controlled so we have some kind of offensive!" Shadow Stephanie says, frustrated.

 

Sivius nods.
"Then I will await your case in her palace. I will follow a lead, then give you time to convince me. That, or you must best the power of the forgotten in single combat." He says, body leaving in wisps of darkness.

 

Shadow Stephanie is left speechless, before she just collapses, tesrs running down her face.

 

As the sun sets, the centaurs wake, one approaching Shadow Stephanie.
"Creature of the night, what ails you?" They ask, concerned.

 

"A cute guy who's confusing and flat out said he doesn't like me..." Shadow Stephanie says sadly.

 

"Then prove you are more than another royal trying to force him under your command." She says.
