Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"...Oh. Sorry. It's just I hate fire... I don't wanna become a Mecha like mother..."

Ihra approaches you, eyes watery.
"Sorry again... uh..."
She wipes her tears on her robe.
"I-I'm Ihra. Nice to meet you..."

 

"Nice to meet you Ihra!" Abigail says with a warm expression.

 

I nod my head.

 

"Wait... What kind of guardian was the person at... wherever you took me is? It wasn't Abigail, was it?"

Riihs gestures at you, asking to talk off to the side.

 

"I very much doubt it would be Abigail, considering you hate fire." I say.

"There's nothing wrong with fire, Ihra. It can be pretty!" Abigail says, nodding to Artemis.

Artemis grows a large, colourful pod and passes it to me. I throw it up as high as I can, and Abigail shoots a bolt of fire at it. The pod explodes into a multitude of pretty colours.

"See?" She says happily.

 

Most of the ice spikes glance off its wings. A few hit but they don't seem to badly wound it or slow it down.
The scythes of darkness seem to have a similar effect.
The Drakonshade quickly turns round, six claws extended (it has claws on each leg and its wings).
The claws sink into the wyvern quickly, except for its hind claws, which are grappling with the wyvern's own claws.
The wyvern blasts fire at it, causing the Drakonshade to loosen its grip. The wyvern then whips its tail round and fully pushes off the Drakonshade.
Idala is still surrounded by the purple aura.

 

Ihra cringes as the bolt flies, but seems entranced by the colors.
"It's like a plant that explodes!"

Xephyr dives at the Drakonshade, trying to freeze one of its wings.

The air around her is so cold, the wyvern's wounds freeze partially and drastically slow the bleeding.

 

"That's...sort of the point of it." Abigail says flatly.

"She's rather young." I whisper to Abigail.

"It's nice to have you around Abigail, since we work so well together." Artemis says, smiling at Abigail.

Abigail smiles back.

"Oh hey Abigail, didn't you manage to beat the first few bosses of Super Dragon RPG?" I say, summoning the device from earlier in my hands.

"I swear to god if you're still stuck on Lefaye..." She says, taking the device from my hands.

"No, I'm stuck on Narr." I say.

"You're using the wrong characters you tool. He's weak to water, not earth." She says, as noises begin to emanate from the device.

 

I walk back a little to Riihs, and then whisper "May I ask, who is that fire person?"

 

Ihra looks at the two of you awkwardly before turning to Artemis.
"Are they usually like this?"

"I don't know. I wanted to explain two things, though. One... my daughter's flammable. Don't ask. Two, she mentioned her mother was a Mecha... her mother has suffered so many wounds, she replaced most of her body with metal. Ihra feels bad for her, but doesn't want to share the same fate. She's a bit jumpy around machinery."

 

"When Stephanie, Aj and I went to visit Abigail a while ago, they spent half the time playing that game." She says with an exhausted tone.

"SHE CAN SUMMON CTHULHU! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THAT!?" Abigail shouts at me.

"She's still a bad character, because she has basically no attacking powers."

"CTHULHUUUUU!" Abigail shouts, grabbing me by the neck, "Bad...character..." I manage to say.

Artemis sighs, "They're either fighting over what to do, or being the best of friends when they play that."

 

"Ah I see. Though, I'm pretty sure most people I've met are flammable. Unless that's not a thing with Draconians...anyways, is she jumpy around all kinds of machinery, even my crossbow? Or just metal things that do things, like...robots?"

 

"Like mother and father. They only seem to cooperate in battle. Except... I don't even know what that thing they're using is."

"Things like robots or factories. And by flammable, I mean she's practically a walking plant."

 

"Well, you need to co-operate in battle. If you don't work together, you'll most likely be slain. I believe the thing they're using is called a Dee S ExL."

"YES WE FREAKING BEAT HIM!"

"TAKE THAT NARR!"

"Wait who the hell is that..."

"Summon Cthulhu!"

"She's still terrible!"

"SUMMON CTHULHU!" Abigail tackles me and takes the device from my hands.

Abigail begins rapidly pressing buttons, "Dodge left! Attack! Wait, heal!" I say.

"Stop being such a backseat gamer, I know what I'm doing." Abigail says with an annoyed tone.

Artemis puts hand to her head, "I swear I'm taking that thing off of them if they continue like that." She says, frustrated.

 

"Maybe we should drop something on them and see if they notice..."

 

"I very much doubt it, they're so immersed they even forget to eat." She says, with an evil smile.

We both start screaming, "KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT!" I shout.

"I'M GONNA DIE I GOTTA HEAL!" Abigail responds in an equally loud manner.

"ATTACK IT!!!" I scream.

"HEAAAAALLLLLLLL!" Abigail screams even louder.

 

Ihra grows a dome of vines around the two.
"Do you have any... noise reducing plants?" She looks at you, cringing.

 

Artemis encases the vines in thick wood.

"That should shut them up for a while." Artemis says, smiling.

Faint screaming can be heard from within the dome.

"I FREAKING DIED WHAT THE HELL!?"

"USE THE COFFEE!"

 

"So... Abigail's a guardian, right? What stuff does she use?"

 

"She uses claws and fire, and likes to get up close while I hang back," She says, "Abigail's been a fan of some obsidian claws she found inside her volcano."

Artemis looks over to the wooden dome, "We work well together. She can set my vines on fire, enhancing their attack power. If I were to wrap someone in them, they'd be burned," Artemis explains, "Though, that would be if Abigail hasn't already clawed their face off."
