Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Why don't you trust them?"
I ask politely.

 

The pair laugh, together for a while, before finally calming down.

 

"Exactly that..."

"Are we going now?" Xlentia asks, preparing to jump. "And do you need me to keep you from dying in space?"

 

"Fair enough."
I concede my point.

 

"I'll die, so yeah." Abigail says.

 

I note this down and send in some more golems.

 

"Okay, sure." Xlentia says, an odd distortion forming over the group.

Again, the immediate reaction is to stab and mutilate them if possible, which they find out once again, is possible.
They seem to be disappointed with the fact they don't bleed, immediately turning to stab each other to drink blood after ruining a golem.

 

"Let's go!" Shadow Stephanie says enthusiastically.

 

I create some golems that look like cows and send them over.

 

Xlentia takes off, the force of her movements seeming to not affect the things in the distortion. However, her armor freezes quickly once she reaches space itself, limiting her movements.
"H-hey... S-s-shadow Lady? C-can you t-t-thaw this s-stupid h-hunk of metal-l-l?" She asks, shivering slightly. "O-o-or the f-fire g-girl-l?"

The first response is the same; stab and mutilate. If it bleeds, drink the blood and continue stabbing until it stops moving.
Though insane, you notice a slight change in their facial expression as long as they see flowing blood, almost as if it stabilizes their mental state to some degree.

 

I jot down these note, and think for a moment. I then proceed to summon some water with red pigment and send a light blast towards the village.

 

A few turn, but they don't respond to it in the same way.
Somehow, they know the difference between real and fake blood, and somehow, it changes their mental state ever so slightly.

 

"Perhaps the smell of the blood is what captivates them." I say, thinking for a moment. I proceed to attempt to make one of the tribesmen explode.

 

In doing so, the other rush to the corpse, and, again, seem to have the same slight change in facial expression as they drink the blood and use odd magic to purify it, corpse eventually being so broken down that it practically seeps into the soil.
Once they finish, they seem to return to their crazed state, some staying and stabbing each other whereas others simply run off into a building or elsewhere out of sight.

 

"Quite odd. Perhaps they can be employed in war to great effect." I comment, "Of course that would garner immense backlash."
I take down some notes before flying back to the ruins.

 

Back in the ruins, Allen seems to have gotten himself dressed in an old robe and has been collecting any salvageable tools. Seems most of what he's found is for farming or construction, neither of which he seems particularly interested in getting a start on at the moment.

 

I fly over to the portal to see if the team has gotten through or not.

 

They're on their way, final checks visibly being performed on the other side.
"...Okay. You should have everything you need. Don't disappoint him."
The group bows to the second in command as they walk through.

 

"Welcome to this realm. You know what you are to do. If you are to find a person by the name of Allen, do not mind him."

 

They nod, first going off to find a building suitable to set up as a base camp.

The last one in line nervously kneels before you.
"Sire, I... u-um... I was late to the meeting; I only heard that we are to help restore this kingdom for your name. The others wouldn't update me... so could you please?"
