Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Can you tell me what the priests said?"

 

"They just said it was coming... coming because they failed us. They let themselves be executed maybe a day before it happened... hard to say."

 

"Hmm..." I muted, jotting down notes. "Anyways, please tell me about what daily life was like."

 

Shadow Stephanie seems to be giving you a shoulder massage, with odd, tentacle like hands. She smiles innocently as you look behind.

"That...sounds quite amazing, actually." Aquira says.

"What!? We broke up! Don't you remember? Artemis and I are no longer a thing." I say, shocked.

 

"What are you trying to do?"
I ask, suspicious.

 

"Just trying to give you a relaxing massage while you think." Shadow Stephanie says innocently.

 

"It just involved waking up, going to work... the norms, I think. Nothing ever really changed for us; nobody bothered us down in the canyon."

"Amazing enough to forgive me?" Xlentia asks, hopeful.

"Yes, I do remember, but everyone tries being nice to me when I'm angry. Maybe you could just find someone who would want to spend their life with a goddess?" She asks you, completely non-accusative.

 

"Didn't ask what you were doing."
I say, blunt.

 

"Just about." Aquira says, shrugging.


"So....you're not mad I acted like I had stronger feelings toward you just to try and calm you down?" I ask.

"It's what I'm also trying to do." Shadow Stephanie says, getting a little annoyed.

 

Xlentia sighs. "Well, guess some forgiveness is better than none, then."

"No, I'm not mad, I just want you to find a replacement for you!" Xlentia says, making a portal above her and climbing into it from the water.

 

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
I say, turning back around.
"...It's not a terrible massage, admittedly."
I compliment, going back to thinking.

 

"Oh thank god, I thought was going to have to end up making weird shadow dragon demigod babies with you or something," I say, letting out a massive sigh of relief, "I'll find you a replacement, don't worry. There's a prince charming out there somewhere for you."

I change back into my smaller size, splashing into the water.

"After I go make-out with my girl-friend." I sing happily, swimming through a portal.

You feel Shadow Stephanie's tentacle hands extend down your back and up your neck, giving you a rather relaxing massage; despite the strange sensations.

 

"Sorry you had to hear that, Aquira!" Xlentia calls as her portal closes.


An hour later, Xlentia returns, knocking on the door again.

 

I simply continue to think, giving it no particular mind.

 

Aquira returns to the surface, looking up at Xlentia.

"What are you thinking about?" Shadow Stephanie says quietly, close to your ear with a silky voice.

 

Xlentia lowers a wing to the water.
"I can't reach my back from here, and Emerald put the thing on my back." She says, midly annoyed.

 

Aquira seems suspicious, but climbs on anyway, walking up Xlentia's wing to her back.

 

"Ground to cover. How to cover that ground. Sivius. What to do if Sivius is found. Group work. How to split up tasks. What tasks to split up. Who to bring. Efficient ways of invitation. How to get that starmap mobile. The list goes on."
I whisper back.

 

"Perhaps you could tell me the name of this place and the government."

 

On her back sits a piece of machinery with multiple power inputs and a holographic display on top. It also has a little odd cube on a metal string.
"Emerald said if you put the little cube thing in water and keep it powered, it'll give you a map of any connected bodies of water as well as what else is in them. For boats, it'll say where it is and what it's made of, but nothing else."
