Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Do you like watching it? Just like, harmless fights."

"Are you okay? I swung pretty hard."
I say, walking over and offering support.

 

"Yeah...my armours pretty strong. I'll probably just get a bruise." Abigail says, though rubbing her side where she was hit as she takes the help you offer.

 

Emerald sighs.
"Better think fast. Katie's gonna piss her off."

Xlentia, not yet used to her armor, makes her way noisily towards Katie's house.

"Not really."

 

"I'll see you in a while, Artemis." I say, smiling and giving Artemis a goodbye hug, before leaving through a portal. A small black crystal drops out of the portal before it closes, which Artemis picks up.


Katie swims up to the surface to investigate, before quickly swimming back down to her house fearfully.

 

"It was a good fight."
I say, pulling her up.
"I don't imagine I could beat you, plus magic."

"Wastes time?"
Crystal guesses.

 

"I don't know, you're a pretty adept fighter." Abigail says, smiling.

 

"Well, unless you want to kill me, we'll hopefully never find out."
I smile.
"Now, come on, there's a myth to be found."
I start walking back towards the ship.

 

"Good luck, Artemis. Good show out there, too." Emerald says.


Xlentia makes a lap around the house, using telekinetics to knock on the door without breaking it.

"Didn't know there was so much work to do with plants."

 

"It would take many lifetimes to truly create the perfect plant for each of a living being's needs; though it can be done, and I believe we could have been close had we been left in peace."

 

"Right." Abigail says, following.

Shadow Stephanie holds up the circuit boards for you and Abigail to see.

"Got the boards you wanted." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

"You're a lifesaver, Stephanie." Abigail says happily, taking the circuit boards and heading back to the starmap.

"Thanks. I sort of improvised when Xlentia wasn't too convinced." Artemis says, blushing.


Eventually, Aquira swims up to the surface.

"What do you want?" Aquira asks, clearly not happy with Xlentia's presence.

 

"Who are you, miss?" Xlentia asks, appearing to legitimately have no clue. "I came to see if Katie had a good time with her parents after I left her on the boat Gaia said they were on."

 

"What happened to it?"

I follow her, watching.

 

"Destroyed, duh. Warring races find little use for the boons of nature."

 

"That's... kinda sad. Who were you at war with?"

 

"Not at war, hunted and hounded. They're called Bicorns, and Sivius made a gamble that has allowed us to resettle on this world. In exchange for giving the Bicorn leader immense powers that even he could not overwhelm, he has slain all but one. The duo left to answer his blades' call to the ruined Bicorn homeworld."

 

"Oh geez. Been through a lot, huh?"
Crystal asks, sorrowful.

 

"That's an understatement, but it gets the job done."

 

Aquira seems confused, "Aquira? Katie's mother? The person you caged up!?" She asks with an accusatory tone.

After installing the new circuit boards and wiring everything up, Abigail tries giving the starmap a jolt of power again.

 

"Wow..."
Crystal pauses, and realizes something.
"Oh, you don't know Shadow Stephanie and Abgail, do you?"
