"My species would disagree, but I understand the sentiment."

 

Abigail tries to roll out of the way, before boosting back on herself and attempting to leap over the blade.

 

"Greetings, I formally welcome you back to the world." I say, "I apologize for perhaps giving you an existential crisis but I have chosen you to be resurrected as I hope to gather information about this civilization. You have been dead for quite a long time already."

 

They look at you, horrified as they glance around.
"M-my family... the p-priests were serious about t-the Cataclysm..." He stammers, still trying to take it all in.

 

"They're not hurting each other, or anything. Or trying to."

I lift up the flat of the blade, attempting to throw her off balance a bit.

 

"I know. That doesn't mean much to the others, though."

 

I think for a moment.
"Cataclysm—most likely a massive wipeout. Presumably caused by Xlentia, but could be debatable." I comment.
"Please take a moment to calm down. If you'd like like anything I believe I may be of some assistance."

 

"C-can you resurrect my wife?" He asks, before realizing that he can't identify her via the skeleton bits nearby and crying.

 

You manage to hit Abigail in the legs, which knocks off the orientation of her landing and she ends up sliding on her back across the sand. Abigail quickly rolls away from you, before getting up and dusting herself off.

 

"Tell me, what was the last thing you remembered before you died. Where were you and what were you doing?"

 

The man stops, and thinks hard for a few minutes.
"I w-was going outside to collect rainwater for bathing."

 

"Were you near anyone?"

 

"M-my wife was in the kitchen, I think?"

 

"Assuming that it wasn't an explosion and that you died outside your house..." I say, resurrecting the nearest skeleton.

 

The nearest skeleton isn't intact, and the process fails.

 

"Hmm..." I think for a moment and survey the area around the resurrected man.

 

There aren't any particularly intact skeletons.

Emerald reappears at the gates of the Shadow Palace.
"Would you happen to know where Aj is?"

 

"I believe he is on Earth, with his partner Artemis." The guard at the gates says.

 

"Can you relay the message that he's going to need to personally be in Xlentia's chambers as the armor is put on her?" Emerald asks. "Also, tell him we already foot the cost of the extra metals. Your alloy would break like wet paper if she tried to get it off."
