Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

An hour later, two thousand draconians (and Emerald, still with her tomes, most of which are in use) appear at the Shadow Palace gates.
"I brought the draconian engineers." Emerald announces, distracted.

 

"We aren't doing this on our own, by the way. Emerald wants note of it as soon as the map is fixed."

 

"Head on through to the back of the palace." A guard at the gate says, opening the gates wide with the other guard.

"No idea what's taking Stephanie so long." Abigail says, confused.

 

Emerald nods, the draconians walking in.
Unlike the guardians, they didn't bring any personal belongings, and none of them brought their custom weaponry.


Emerald monitors the group as they head into the back of the palace, still keeping most of her focus on her tomes.

 

"Did she take it to Shadows?"

 

The back of the palace appears to be open into the courtyard and training grounds, most of it taken up by a large team of guardians and Shadows all working with metals to create parts of armour. A large hologram of Xlentia looms above the crew, switching between normal and armoured.

"Yeah. She said they'd be able to reverse-engineer the circuit boards, but I didn't think it'd take this long." Abigail says.

 

Emerald looks at the hologram before the draconians disperse for orders.
"Where's the hologram projector?" Emerald asks, voice carrying.

 

"Maybe they couldn't, quite."

 

A Shadow points at a small, circular metal projector on the ground, light green crystal visible from within.

Abigail sighs, "We just have to wait, I guess." She says.

 

Emerald updates it with accurate-to-the-millimeter measurements, including how the armor needs to fold for Xlentia's common range of movement.

 

"...Spar, in the meantime?"
I offer.

 

The team checks the hologram, updating their work to fit with the new plans. With the increase in people, some of the armour already starts to take shape,
large mage crystals patterning it.

"Sure." Abigail says, extending her claws as she gets up.

 

I shake my head and look for another, less damaged skeleton.

 

"Crystal, will you be joining?"
"Uhhh... I'll watch."
Crystal chooses, reforming off of me.
"Come, let's go away from the ship."
I say to Abigail, walking off.

 

Abigail follows you, hovering over the sand and changing the crystals in her gauntlets back to their default firey red.

 

Most of the measurements are good, but a lot of the joints change slightly.
Emerald heads back to the gate.
"Has the queen returned with the Elven blood yet?" She asks the guards.

There are a few; it seems like everyone had a quick and sudden death, as if that a flash had wiped the city of life.

 

"Intent on using magic?"
I ask, still heading forward.

 

"Yes, she's been waiting for a while." One of the guards says.

"Do you want me to?" Abigail asks.

 

"I thought I had requested her to return to Xlentia's palace... regardless, where can I meet up with her?"

 

"If you want to. I just don't have much of it to offer, so I was going to ask if you wanted it allowed or not."
