Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I jet off, implying that we should go faster.

 

Abigail decides to fly after you, while Shadow Stephanie remains on the ground, simply watching as she walks.

 

I keep flying towards the wreckage, landing once I get there.

After a short while, Xlentia's tossing and turning reaches a climax as she grips her forehead, groans, then falls asleep suddenly after.

 

Eve flies down, scanning Xlentia to make sure she's alright.

 

The wreckage seems slightly more busted up than before, though the starmap seems to still be mostly undisturbed, albeit broken.

The display looks busted, for starters, plus the table its mounted on seems to be missing a protective cover and a few interior parts.

Xlentia seems to be having a nightmare, baring her fangs every minute or two in the real world.

 

"Subject appears to be having a nightmare, partially translating unconscious world into conscious." Eve notes.

 

Muffy, coming in on her own accord, ends up eating the nightmare, Xlentia's sleep sound as Muffy walks off, bloated.

 

"Strange creature, taking the form of a cat, seems to have devoured nightmare and replaced it. Currently searching available data for name of creature's species..." Eve says, pausing for a while, "Found data analysis from user 'BlindPhoenix', species still unknown, extremely old, goes by name of 'Muffy' or 'Muffin'."

 

Muffy, upon hearing her name, turns to Eve and walks under her, grappling onto her chest after meowing.

 

"Analysis of 'Muffy' proves correct with grappling tongue. Observing behaviour." Eve says, folding her arms under Muffy to catch her should she fall.

I say, pointing towards the broken map.

 

Muffy pulls herself up to Eve as she sniffs and rubs against her armor and clothes, occasionally causing her fur to let off a spark.

 

"Got it." Abigail says, flying down to the broken map.

"Fur appears to be emitting electricity. BlindPhoenix recorded ability to emit lava upon rubbing against her. Investigation into BlindPhoenix reveals she is a fire guardian. I theorize Muffy emits whichever element the being she touches is linked to. Testing theory..." Eve says, a small opening appearing on her hand as a mage crystal charged with earth magic slides out of it. Eve touches Muffy with the mage crystal.

 

Abigail sees a few shattered parts, wiring mostly intact, and a few parts of the starmap with bite marks in them.


Curious, Muffy rubs against the crystal. Eve's theory is confirmed when dust falls out of Muffy's fur as she shakes it out afterwards.

 

Abigial looks over the shattered parts, before the starmap itself to try and find out what material it's made out of; her visor scanning it.


"Theory appears to be confirmed. Earth magic causes Muffy to emit dust. Performing test..." Eve says, before flying down to Xlentia and placing Muffy on her.

 

The material seems to be of extremely high-grade steel along with impressively fire resistant (unenchanted!) metals.


Muffy clings to Eve, hesitant.
"Mrow." She complains, claws catching in anything possible on Eve they can.

 

"This shouldn't be too hard." Abigail says to herself, looking at the wiring of the starmap, her visor showing what each wire connects to.


"Muffy does not seem to want to touch Xlentia. Scans and experiences indicate touching Muffy to a being of Xlentia's elemental tie may not be the wisest decision." Eve says, before putting Muffy on her shoulder and flying upwards, scanning over Xlentia's chambers and measuring it.

 

The wiring seems partially chewed, and some of the coverings have been stripped by the sands, a fair amount of which is stuck in places that even an electrician wouldn't expect.


Scanning Muffy's memories, rubbing against Xlentia seems to cause a massive volume of void energy to collect around her, causing her to levitate for about a full day.

Xlentia's chambers seems to be rectangular; 3 miles deep by two wide, and one tall. The doors are nearly as tall as the ceiling, and the lock on them looks high enough that it would only be practical for Xlentia to fiddle with it.

 

Abigail opens the crystal wheels on her gauntlets, spinning through them before selecting a light yellow crystal in one, and a pale silver crystal in the other. Abigail closes the wheels, before hoovering up the sand from both in and around the starmap, the gauntlet with the pale silver crystal acting as the vacuum while the light yellow crystal's gauntlet collects the sand into a tight ball in Abigail's hand.


Eve records the memory, saving it before flying up to the lock on the doors and scanning it.
