Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Xlentia just keeps looking at the ball.
"Plus there are traps that'll kill you if you bowl over a statue. Hell, you can't actually get in any other room in that ball."

 

The ball stays still, however Aquira swims over to the side of the ball facing the door, looking for any lock or restriction stopping the doors from being opened.

 

The only restriction is the weight and what seems to be a runic lock near the ceiling, where only Xlentia can reach.
"I trusted that leaving Katie in your hands would be okay, yet you can't bring yourself to say a word to me?"

 

Aquira lies in wait, staying still.

 

Xlentia resets Aquira's progress, putting the ball a fair distance from the door.

Emerald seems to enter around this time.
"What the hell?"
"Aquira." Xlentia sighs.
"Water guardian, mother of Katie. Infamous pirate, half a fleet sunk. Never lost her ship, and revered by her entire crew." Emerald rattles off, making sure Aquira can hear. "Anything else you'd like to know?"
"Not really. What do you need?"
"Actually was going to ask if you wanted me to destroy the foreign entity. I take it the answer is no."
"Correct."

 

Aquira seems pleased by Emerald's knowledge, but stays still regardless.

 

"What else?" Emerald asks.
"Why does she refuse to talk to me?"
"Because you're big, tough, and playful, but use me as an excuse to forget most of what you know."
"HEY!" Xlentia scowls.

 

Aquira smirks from within her ice ball, observing and waiting.

 

After Emerald finishes laughing, she recollects herself.
"Okay. I actually came to tell you that the Shadows have rewritten all the books they destroyed, so you'll have fewer people to talk to again."
"Awwh! But they had such good stories!" Xlentia complains.
"Everything from their royal library is now in ours. You'll get to hear all of them, don't worry."
Upon hearing this, Xlentia seems pleased, waving Emerald off as she leaves, warping through the door.

 

Aquira rolls toward the door, icy hands extending from her ice ball and latching onto the door, slowly but surely lifting her up the door toward the lock.

Once Aquira makes it up to the lock, she surrounds it in ice, moving the ice within in an attempt to forge a key.

 

Xlentia watches, amused, as the glyph lock has no actual key slot.
"It's a soul lock. I wouldn't get too close; it can sort of trap you in it, and it takes me a while to break it."

 

Aquira rolls down the door, before converting most of her ice ball into freezing the door, getting ice in any cracks or holes, before melting it and repeating the process; rather quickly.

 

She can't; the ice won't push the center of the doors apart, and the doors themselves are solid.

 

Aquira tries regardless, attempting to freeze/thaw the doors to weaken them.

 

It does absolutely nothing.
"Aquira, you haven't eaten for three days now. Are you sure you still want to be stubborn?" Xlentia asks, genuine concern in her voice.

 

Aquira rolls down the door, rethinking her strategy and ignoring Xlentia; no trust for her at all.

 

Xlentia sighs.
"EMERALD!" She shouts.
Emerald appears.
"Yes?"
"Trust level." Xlentia grumbles, pointing at Aquira.
"Literally zero."
"OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" She groans. "JUST GET HER FOOD, THEN! SHE IS NOT GETTING AN IMMORTALITY PROTOCOL!"

 

Aquira simply waits in thought, planning.

 

Xlentia glares at Aquira as Emerald leaves.
"I gave your daughter an immortality protocol. Get it out of your head if you think you have a chance at one treating me like that." She snaps.

 

Aquira doesn't seem to be paying Xlentia any attention.
