Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Aquira and Katie's father sleep until the early hours of the morning, where they get up and head out onto the ship, getting back to work. Katie remains in bed, snoring lightly.

 

Muffy follows Aquira up onto the deck before coughing up a portal and leaving, portal remaining open on deck for a few minutes.

 

Aquira seems rather curious, stepping through the portal.

 

She finds Linoa hugging Muffy in Xlentia's chambers, gold statues, coins, and supermassive jewels stacking taller than any mountain Aquira's ever seen.
"Muffy, you had me so worried! Where were you?"
"Mrow."
"Aww, helped Katie? You're so sweet, but I needed you for potions!"
"Mrow."
"I know, I know..."

 

Aquira's hand shoots to her cutlass on her waist, Aquira regarding the whole situation with caution.

"You own that cat?" Aquira asks.

 

Startled, Linoa's staff speeds to her hand.
"Y-yes... who are you?" Linoa asks, Muffy rubbing against her robe. "I'm Linoa, head of the Void Siege Artillery Division..."

 

"Captain Aquira of the Blue Amber. Your cat there left a portal open on my ship." Aquira says, grasp tightening on her cutlass.

 

"Sorry. Muffy just does whatever she wants. One day it's the Shadow Palace, now your ship?" Linoa sighs. "I suggest you stand down, Miss Aquira, because that portal kind of shut."

 

Aquira quickly turns around, looking for the portal.

 

The portal's gone.
"Muffy, can you give the nice captain a portal back?"
Muffy shakes her head no.
"Come on. I know you can."
Muffy starts walking away.
"MUFFY!" Linoa snaps.

 

"Where the hell am I?" Aquira asks.

 

"Xlentia's Void Palace." Linoa says, Xlentia entering her chambers behind her.

 

"Shit!" Aquira curses, entombing herself in thick foggy ice.

 

Linoa looks at her strangely.
"Ooh, you're that Aquira. It'll be okay. Just don't be rude."

 

Aquira remains within the ice, attempting to shape the ice into a stray jewel as to not seem suspicious.

 

Shaping it into a jewel is exactly what gets her picked up by Xlentia.
"Linoa, when'd this one get here?"
"That's a piece of ice, Mistress."
"Oh? Hey, there's one of those guardian thingies in it! How'd that happen?"
"They froze themselves."
"I'm not gonna hurt them! Come on, can't they realize I like Gaia's children too?" Xlentia exclaims.

 

Aquira stays still, keeping the ice as intact as possible.

 

"Can you unfreeze them?"
"That's not nice." Linoa retorts.
"But this is my home, not that angry captain's!"

 

Aquira just stays still, despite getting a little annoyed.

 

"She's right in front of you, Mistress."
"What? So I can't be rude to her for doing what I did to her?!" Xlentia snaps, bringing Aquira's crystal right next to her eye.
"You made a deal." Linoa says, as Xlentia realizes.
"Hey, Captain. I thought you were just another water guardian from the shadow palaces. Sorry." She sighs. "But, why the hell are you in my room?" She suddenly growls. "You don't want me near you, so your plundering self comes straight to my hoard just because I agreed not to hurt you?!"
