Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, thanks Muffy!" Katie says happily.

The captains quarters appear to be around medium sized, a trap door at the far end of the room, and a desk and large chair in the middle. The desk has papers, maps, inkwells and a few dubloons scattered over it. Two long chairs reside at either side of the room, Katie and her father sitting on the left side. A small window at the back of the room lets light in, and creates a way to see out, onto the ocean. An unlit lantern hangs in the centre of the room, swaying with the ship.

 

Bored, Muffy blinks through the door to the deck and grapples herself up to the crow's nest.

Now gliding, Xlentia seems calmer.
"Any sights in particular you want to fly by, Gaia?" She asks.

 

An air guardian seems rather startled by Muffy's sudden appearance.


"I was thinking you could take this as an opportunity to explore, actually." Gaia says happily, her hair and eyes now silver; a pair of large angelic wings extending from her back.

 

"Mrow." Muffy says, rubbing against the air guardian resulting in Muffy's fur getting poofy with static.


Xlentia opts just to take a loop around the world, avoiding any other flying things.

 

Xlentia ends up freaking out quite a few people on planes, Gaia waving to them happily.

"I like my world. I think I've created it well." Gaia says happily and calmly.

 

"It's very pretty. I like it." She comments.

 

"It's quite amazing what you can do by setting things up and giving them a little push. I like to return here every few hundred years just to see what's changed. I don't think I possess the power to restart like Tiffany and Lex have, though." Gaia explains, clearly enjoying herself.

 

"I'd love to have a world to call my own." Xlentia says. "My role is more of an unwanted necessity, but you play the cards you have, right?"

 

"Play your hand well, and you can turn the tables." Gaia says.

 

Xlentia nods.
"All I've got are cards that force others to lose theirs. A precarious position."

 

"Maybe in losing theirs, you can force them to give you better ones?" Gaia asks.

 

"I have my own deck." Xlentia laughs. "I try not to instill fear into everything, but it's really really hard."

 

"I'd understand, since you're a giant dragon. Most people aren't scared of me, they like my presence. But, I guess I am sort of the mother of all life." Gaia says, laughing slightly.

 

"On top of that, I am the one who was to do the gods' dirty work. If a realm needs destroyed or if one race goes to far, it tends to fall to me to erase them from memory and existence alike." She sighs.

 

"I think that if a god can't do it themselves, they should do all they can to fix it." Gaia says.

 

"I was made for it, though. My powers revolve around destruction and erasure. However, since the Hive Master mind controlled me, he spent his time learning to block me from wiping his hive." She groans.

 

"So there's no way you can erase him if you're asked?" Gaia asks.

 

"I've tried." She growls.

 

"Well, I just hope we have the power to stop him if he ever tries to come to our reality," Gaia says, "Celeste is rather powerful, though. I'm sure she could easily stop him."

 

"Do keep in mind he would have my power and the other gods as well. The resulting feedback loop would cause permanent damage to both realities."
