Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"She said it's too dangerous. Apparently when I was still young, she took me on trips with her, but on one of them I almost got killed. She swore she wouldn't take me on any more trips since then, because of what could've happened." Katie explains.

 

Xlentia laughs.
"Yet here you are taking on gods."

 

"I think mother would approve." Katie says happily.

 

"She'd probably prefer you have gone with her to be honest! We could ask her - I'm kind of bulletproof."

 

"I don't know where she is. She rarely comes home to see me and drop off loot though." Katie says, thinking.

 

"What direction from your house does she usually go? With my size, it can't take long."

 

"Well, my house is sort of in a tucked away lake-type area, so away from there." Katie says happily.

 

"So, towards the open seas from your house? Actually..."

Gaia feels an attempted telepathic link.
"Hey, Gaia? This is Xlentia. I was wondering if you could help me locate a water guardian's parents?"

 

"Oh, hey Xlentia! I'm sure I could. Who's the water guardian?" Gaia responds joyfully.

 

"Katie. I don't know their surname. They're one of the group members that saved my hide, so I owe them a bit, too."

 

"Katie, hmm." Gaia thinks for a bit.

"Is it the Katie near you right now?" Gaia asks.

 

"Yes."

 

Xlentia sees an image of a large ship sailing across the ocean, which zooms out and draws a line from an underwater palace; Katie's home.

"You should be able to find them now." Gaia says happily.

 

"Got it. Thank you, Gaia." Xlentia says, opening a collossal portal outside of Katie's house as Xlentia sets Katie on her head.

"We'll go say hello real quick." Xlentia says happily.

 

Katie seems rather excited, holding on tightly.

 

Xlentia walks along the bottom of the ocean towards where Gaia instructed her, using magic to avoid crushing the bottom of the ocean as she goes.

 

Katie watches the ocean go by curiously, holding on tightly to Xlentia.

Xlentia soon sees the ship she saw in the image Gaia gave her, simply drifting along the ocean. There doesn't seem to be anyone on the ship, strangely; at least nobody visible.

 

Xlentia lowers her snout to the ship, being careful.
"If it's a trap, they'll die. This is the ship Gaia said your parents were on though, hon."

 

"Don't kill my parents!" Katie says worriedly, jumping onto the ship.

"Hello?" Katie calls out, walking around the top of the ship.

 

"I can't aim a bite!"
Xlentia keeps a close eye on the ship and on Katie, before putting her head underwater to look around.
