Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Why the hell should we tell you!?" The man asks angrily.


I grow my wings larger, albeit my actual size decreasing somewhat, whipping up gale force winds to deflect the hypnofire.

 

Linoa pushes the blade into his neck, causing him to bleed.
"Because when I'm done with your sorry asses, you're going to become torture toys if you don't!" She snaps.


Seems you need just a little more to push the hypnofire back into Rineth.

 

"Yes! We're her parents!" The woman says, panicking even more.

The limo swerves around, sliding around the road and threatening to crash before it finally slides to a stop.


I decide to grow another pair of wings, decreasing my size again but doubling my deflective power.

 

The car suddenly stops responding to the pedals and steering wheel, Linoa telekinetically jacking it.
"Why the hell are you torturing her! I'm already up to here with your husband, so you better make a damn good case if you don't want to be shadow toys!" She roars, taking the limo out towards a less-populated area.


Rineth starts flapping his wings to counter your winds, tiring.

 

"Because she's a bad child! She never learns, and needs punishment. We don't "torture" her all the time, either, we try and teach her too! I've seen to it she's got hands-on lessons in sexual education!" The husband says, trying to stop his bleeding.


I flap my wings in doubletime, putting a lot of energy into blowing away the hypnofire.

 

"Same can be said for you two, then!" Linoa barks, stabbing the husband's hand. "That's no way to treat a sorceress who's slain gods!"


After a while, Rineth vanishes, exhausted as he leaves a portal behind for you to follow.

 

"Don't speak such crap, she's been a failure since she was born. No wonder her actual parents abandoned such a terrible excuse for a child! We're doing her a favour even letting her stay under our roof!" The man says, gritting his teeth.

"We've even been helping her since she's at the age where she starts looking at boys differently. We've taught her how to be a good wife to her husband in the future. If she's not going to do anything with herself, then she might as well know how to please her husband who'll be doing the work for her!" The woman says, getting angry.

The woman suddenly pulls out a pepper spray, spraying it directly in Linoa's eyes.

 

Linoa just shuts her eyes.
"As you wish. You will become torture toys..."
Linoa drops her spheres and grabs their throats, yanking them to the back seats as the limo heads towards a sheer cliff.

"...HER torture toys." She cackles, teleporting away with them as the limo drives off the cliff.


The portal in front of you stays open a little longer, but starts to close.

 

I glance at the portal, exhausted, my mouth dripping with blood. I turn around to try and follow the car, before collapsing; passed out.

 

You're dragged through the portal.

You wake up to a cryogenically frozen Rineth in front of you, Xephyr thawing you from the machine she's hooked up to like Ruby.
"You're awake. Nice to see you again, Aj. It's been a while." She says happily.

 

"How long was I-" I pause for a moment, before coughing up a few metal buttons, masks, bones and skulls.

"Sorry. How long was I out for?" I ask, brushing myself off.

 

"Just a few hours. It's sunset on Earth, if you want to join back up with the others. Rineth'll be a while, though. He horribly overexerted himself keeping your rampage contained to the party."

 

"It's hard to keep control of yourself when the blood starts flowing. I'm glad he stopped me before I ate anyone I knew," I say, shrugging, "Wait, sunset? I've been out for a day?"

 

"I don't actually know. Three hours, though."

 

"The party was at night. Weird. Well, I should probably go back and check on Stephanie. Last I saw her she was like a twig that could bleed," I say, "I feel so sorry that she had to endure all of the stuff she did for a week, but at least we got her back."

 

"Hey, Linoa has an I'm sorry surprise for her when she gets back on her feet. Good luck on your way back."

 

"Thanks." I say, before coughing up a pretty looking blue mask.

"You want this? It looks fairly intact." I ask, holding up the mask.

 

"Uhm... I'll pass. You have a nice day."
Xephyr has Avis wave goodbye in her stead.

 

"You too. It was nice seeing you again." I say, opening a portal home with Shadow Katana; the portal quickly closing after I even start to step through.

 

Muffy seems to still be with Artemis, purring nervously.
