Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The mansion appears to be rather large, and the trio splits up to explore it, Abigail ending up greeting the owners of it.

After a while, Artemis, Abigail and I meet up again near the front of the mansion.

"No signs of Stephanie. This doesn't seem like her home." I say.

"Agreed, let's get going to the next one." Abigail says.

"Thank you for having us." Artemis says to the butler respectfully, before leaving the house with Abigail and I.

 

The couple seem to still be silently following, noticing no issues thus far.

 

I drive for a few more hours, the sky starting to darken as night approaches. I manage to make it to another mansion before it gets too dark, but the process and results are almost the same as the previous mansion. I end up driving off again towards another suspected mansion, driving through the night.

"This is going to take a long time..." I say, parking up at a service station off the motorway.

"I hope Stephanie's alright." Artemis says, yawning.

 

The couple uncloak, knocking on one of the car doors.
"We have to go for the night, else we'll be pulled back like Sgavrinn eventually."

 

The pair seem to wake up a dozing-off Abigail, who jumps in surprise.

"Alright, see you in the morning. I think we'll find a hotel or something to rest at." I say.

 

"We'll let you know if we get any potentially useful leads back at home. Nobody knows the extent of Emerald's knowledge." Rineth says, portal opening.

 

"Byeeee..." Abigail says sleepily, waving tiredly.

Artemis and I get out of the car, heading toward the service station to buy a few things.

 

In the morning, the couple returns.

 

Rineth and Linoa find the car parked outside a fancy hotel, arriving just in time to see the trio exiting it.

"Morning." I say, getting into the car.

 

They nod.
"Let's get moving, then."

 

Once everyone gets in the car, I drive off.

Most of the morning is spent driving to the next location, arriving at another mansion in the early afternoon. This time, however, things go differently. After talking for a while, the group is sent away, not allowed entry onto the mansion grounds.

 

Rineth uncloaks.
"Aj, that our cue?"

 

"Yep, let's go." I say, getting out of the car before disappearing. I appear up near the mansion, waving Rineth over.

 

Rineth and Linoa blink over, weapons ready.

 

I teleport into the mansion, invisible, looking around and waiting for Rineth and Linoa.

 

They seem to have teleported in with you, Linoa's staff cloaked as well.
"Give me a signal if I need to blow this place to kingdom come." She signs.

 

"I doubt that will be necessary." I say, before searching the mansion and avoiding people.

 

They both do the same, searching where you don't.

 

Rineth and Linoa find no signs of Stephanie, the mansion housing a normal, albeit very rich, family.

"I've found nothing." I say, sighing once I find Rineth and Linoa.

 

"Then we take a hostage, or search hidden rooms."
