"That could drown her!" Katie says, shocked.

 

Linoa shows Katie her view of the Abigail encounter.
Linoa quickly threw a barrier behind Abigail as she stumbled away from her, then freaked out and just collapsed on the ground a short distance away, proceeding to act like a trapped and less than silent mime until Katie herself took Abigail away.

 

"I saw that already." Katie laughs.

 

"I know, but my point is, if she could've drowned... if I really wanted to kill her, I wouldn't have kept her out of the water."

 

"Well, I'm sure Abigail wanted to apologise to you, but you just scared her so much she couldn't muster up the courage to." Katie says.

 

Linoa pauses, then busts a gut laughing.
"Likewise! If she had the guts to desecrate a corpse, I'd think she'd have the guts to apologize."

 

"Desecrate a corpse?" Katie asks, confused.

 

"You know, take a corpse and mutilate it to an unidentifiable condition. Kinda ruins the funeral."

 

"That sounds like Aj. I've seen him do it when he eats them." Katie laughs, somewhat nervously thinking back to how gross the situation she described actually was.

 

"Eating is different. Mutilation is when you don't consume it or harvest specific organs to use for materials. Since Anubi are immune to fire, it's considered desecration to turn one to ash."

 

"So Abigail just cremated them?" Katie asks.

 

"She managed to cremate something that cannot be burned. Cremation is a foreign concept to Anubi."

 

"I think it's a bit of a cultural mixup then." Katie says, laughing.

 

"Well, talking it out will help, but they'll still ask Abigail to compensate for the seven homes she turned to glass and ash."

 

"I don't think Abigail's very rich." Katie say sadly.

"Uhm, do you think we could go home, well, my home, to get my ice charm?" Katie asks.

 

"They never fine. And yes, I'll bring you back to the clearing so you can get back." Linoa says, staff cooling down again.

 

"Thanks!" Katie says happily, staying close to Linoa's staff.

 

As the pair surface, Linoa helps Katie onto her staff as she darts back towards the forest.

 

Katie watches the desert fly by from Linoa's staff, lost in thought.

 

Linoa flies through the portal to Xlentia's palace, leaving Katie near the portal room.
"It was fun while it lasted. Don't let Aj get too crazy, okay?" She asks, giggling.
