Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I run over these a few times in my head.
"Languages are probably the easiest things for me to learn."

"It's not great, but it's some of the best you'll find in a desert."

 

Katie smiles, petting Sgavrinn gently before swimmping back to her iceberg, making it larger to replace the parts that melted over time.

"Lucky." Stephanie says, smiling.

 

Sgavrinn seems content, laying quietly on the mud as he just watches everyone.

"I feel like setting up a bit of a home base was something we should've done on the first world." Ragnyon comments.

 

"I think we moved around too much for that, though. If we set up a home base, we can't explore further without having to go back to it every night." Katie says.

 

"Oh, neat."

"Comes with the whole 'being a better human thing'. I think the scientists started off with advanced memory with the creation of Two."

 

"Well, computers can perform thousands of calculations a second, so I wouldn't doubt that translates to robots too." Stephanie says.

 

"Unfortunately, there's a difference between spouting recorded information and comprehending what information that is and when it happens to be useful without someone directly telling you that it is. On top of motor skills, senses, and everything else that a human has and more, it's a lot, so we happen to be slower than a computer."
I elaborate.

 

"Yeah, I guess you have a lot of work a do just basically living already, which are tasks computers don't have to do." Stephanie says understandingly.

 

"As some would say, 'Life: the greatest curse anyone could ever get'."
Pause.
"Then again, with people like you, life isn't that bad."
I smile.

 

"I'm quite tired of being dead." Stephanie says, smiling as she flips her tome back to the pages on pure mage crystals.

 

"I'm glad."
I glace at the page again, this time deciphering the magic language to see what it says.

 

"And, to stop trying to avoid giving you details, I've been here before."

"Well, we should be moving around eventually. The sign pointed out things of interest, but so far we've met drow, gotten angry at each other, and keep finding an armadillo-wolf-thing that keeps crossing paths with us."

 

"Wait, really? I thought you just stopped by here sometime while you were out dealing with Abigail."

 

It seems to be some basic facts about the pure ignia crystal.

"The armadillo wolf is nice." Katie says happily.

 

"Nah, been here before the Cataclysm."

Ragnyon laughs.
"Aj thinks it's fairly annoying. Though, I don't even know why it's following us now that it's not curious and knows who and what we are."

 

Katie just shrugs, glancing around the group.

 

The group seems to still be resting from a bit of a rough sleep in a new world.
...the armadillo-wolf can be seen sleeping in the vine shelter Artemis made.

 

Katie laughs a bit, before deciding to carve out some more of her iceberg to make it prettier.

 

I fly as high as possible while mainting eye vision and look around to see if I can find the group.
