Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The sands shift, gently moving Stephanie across the ground.
The Anubi reveal lances, standing in front of Stephanie.
"You are a threat to not only us, but your friend. The chief states we must heal any who fall on our lands. So, leave. We will return your friend when she heals."


Ragnyon uses water to push you out of the way from her waterfall, smiling.

 

"Yeah, no fucking way you're stealing Stephanie, you literal sons of bitches." Abigail says, jumping over the Anubi with a blast from her rocket boots before grabbing Stephanie.


I seem just slightly annoyed, going back to my waterfall to drink.

 

Linoa holds her back.
"Anubi are bound to eternal afterlife. You're lucky you clocked her in front of one. If they were lying, they'd be doomed to eternal purgatory."


Ragnyon spits water at you from below.

 

"Oh, good. I can kill one without hesitation then, because there's no fucking way I'm letting Stephanie get abducted and eaten by these dogs." Abigail says, fireball in her hand growing.


"I'm tryna drink!" I say, pretending to be annoyed.

 

"Eaten?" They ask, confused.
"What the hell made you think we are carnivorous?"
Linoa seems distracted.


"Use a different waterfall!" Ragnyon giggles.

 

Abigail takes Linoa's distraction to dart around the Anubi and grab Stephanie.

"Because you're dogs." Abigail says, before blasting away with Stephanie.


I groan, before swimming over to a different waterfall to drink.

"I can just make a fountain for you, Aj." Katie says, giggling. Katie carves out a tunnel near the front of her iceberg, and water shoots out from it.

"I've got it!" I say, before catching the water in my mouth. Katie laughs as she watches.

 

"What th-"
Abigail is slugged across the face as she dives for Stephanie.

Stephanie and Abigail stir in a sand cave, lit with a candle in a room full of growing plants.
"You two okay? Sorry about that, Abigail, I hesitated because I didn't know what it was. The Anubi had to chase a follower of Nyx off. I brought you out of the desert sun myself so you wouldn't be open to predators."


Ragnyon laughs before falling asleep.
There's a loud splash that shakes the iceberg as Sgavrinn jumps into the water and swims around a bit.

 

Abigail seems to become rather enraged, the candle burning brighter, and Abigail herself giving off light.

"THOSE FUCKING SONS OF BITCHES!!!" Abigail shouts, enraged, "I SHOULD HAVE FUCKING KILLED THOSE ASSHOLES WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE!!!"


Katie gets knocked off the iceberg, jamming her double trident into the side of it to stay on; even though the water is only a few inches away.

 

"You... do realize they saved you, right?" Linoa asks, concerned.
"Hey, Steph. Potion please." She quickly utters telepathically.


Sgavrinn seems to be trying to learn to swim. He kind of only treads.

 

"Uuugn..." Stephanie moans.

"THEY TRIED TO STEAL STEPHANIE AND THEN KNOCKED ME OUT!!!" Abigail shouts, getting up and heading to the exit of the cave, "WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY!?"


Katie smiles, climbing onto her double trident before onto the iceberg, retrieving her double trident. Katie makes the water around Sgavrinn move upwards slightly, making it much easier for him to swim.

 

There is no exit of the cave.
"They're... sort of... protecting us now. The freaks that clocked you snagged my staff."


Sgavrinn keeps trying to make forward progress, though his wings make it... difficult.

 

"So why don't we just break the FUCK out of here, and GET YOUR STAFF BACK OFF THOSE DOG HEADED FREAKS!?" Abigail asks, trying to control her anger.


Katie just watches, not knowledgeable enough in dragons to be able to offer help.

 

I point to my eye socket.
"Water. Other than that, I'm just looking around."

With all the shit that's happening, that leaves Crystal... where?

 

"I like this place. It's serene." Artemis says calmly and happily.

 

"Indeed."
I sit down cross-legged.
"Makes two, doesn't it. You see a lot on adventures."

 

"Yeah. I guess that's sort of the point of adventuring though." Artemis says, laughing slightly.

 

"If that were the case, we might already be done here. But I get what you mean."

 

"There's still more to explore." Artemis says, smiling.

 

"I guess there is."
I smile as well.

 

Artemis grows a few large lily pads around her, as well as a bit of algae in the process, before climbing onto one to sit on it. Strangely, even though the lily pad seems thin enough to just sink with any weight on it, it's strong enough to hold Artemis.
