Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Friends. Portal." The figure says through a note.

 

She sidesteps and parries it easily, but chuckles as she skids across the ground.
"Trying to show off in front of your friends?"

The spirit nods.
"I hate to say it, but you know the librarian is going to chase you out if you don't tell her your name, right?"

 

"I don't care." The figure says through a note.

 

Crystal seems to almost look, but instead jumps back and focuses on the fight, locking his eyes with Linoa's.

 

"Why're you so secretive? Is it trauma, or...?"

Linoa seems to be standing down.
"No, seriously. Look."

 

Shifting one eye to be trained on Linoa, Crystal looks for Rineth an I, and upon finding us, waves. I wave back lightly.

 

"I prefer not to be known. Not yet." The figure says through a note.

 

Linoa sighs.
"We're not continuing, is my point. See what they want."
The dome falls.

"Well... hopefully that changes in two days. You pissed off the librarian harder than the guys who melted an entire bookshelf."

 

"I don't care." The figure says, reusing the note.

 

"Oh, okay."
His eyes shift back to where they should be.
"Sorry for not trusting you."
Crystal says, starting to walk over.

 

"You might if she traps you here and dangles you from the ceiling... but hopefully it won't come to that."
They pause.
"Well, sorry to bother you, mis... uh... mister or miss?"

"It's fine. Just thought a message might be important."
Rineth looks at Crystal and nods.
"Not too bad of a performance."

 

"Sounds fun." The figure says, before sliding another note with 'F' simply written on it.

 

"Yeah, you're doing pretty well."
"Thanks."
"So, who is she?"
"She's Linoa. Apparently Nilarq is paying her some of his salary for her to help me out for a month."

 

"Okay, miss. Um... sorry to bother you." The spirit says, leaving through the floor.

"I recognize the big 'ol Rineth, but who's your friend?" Linoa asks, chuckling at Rineth's sigh.

 

The figure shrugs, going back to reading her book.

 

"Thirteen, nice to meet you."
I speak for myself.

 

The spirit soon returns.
"Hey, um... do you realize there's been someone stalking you this whole time?"

Linoa offers a handshake.
"Consider working on his confidence." She whispers to you, out of earshot of Crystal.

 

The figure shakes her head.

 

"Consider it considered."
I whisper back, smiling.

 

"Well, there is."
Pause.
"I'm gonna go now before I get chased out..."

She winks before stepping back.
"So, you two need Crystal for something?"
