Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sgavrinn chases after her.
"Hey, we beat gods. We can beat him. And once we do, we never need to be scared again." Ragnyon tries to make up for it.

The dummies are block-shaped, but you can't squeeze it at all. Feels as tough as your plating.

 

I step back, talking to Crystal.
"First off, try moving us. Even though you're surrounding me, you'll probably still be able to move us."
"Okay."
Crystal tries, and as it turns out, he can move me, but it's harder due to me not being as malleable as him.
"Now that that's covered, let's just try some things. Get more comfortable. If a choice I make bothers you, just say so, but I'll be doing the same for you."
"Let's."
Crystal smiles, and I rush near the dummy and swing, and Crystal lets me.

 

Your blade cuts partway through before getting stuck.
It takes a while to get it out, hampered further by Crystal acting as armor.

 

"Stephanie died, Ragnyon! And that was against Xlentia! You think nobody else is going to die!?" Abigail says, a mix of emotions at once. Abigail throws a black crystal, which opens into a portal in front of her. Abigail skates though, the portal gradually starting to close after she does.

 

Ragnyon just falls silent, but Sgavrinn keeps running after Abigail.

 

Sgavrinn and Ragnyon find themselves in the Realm of Shadows, at the Shadow Palace. Abigail quickly turns the dials in a nearby elevator.

 

This is followed up by a punch to the dummy's face lead by Crystal, and quickly supported by me.

 

Sgavrinn keeps running at Abigail, whimpering as he chases after Abigail desperately.
Ragnyon buries her face.

It hurts Crystal but knocks the blade loose.

 

Abigail teleports away in the elevator, the dials staying in their positions momentarily before changing back. From the looks of the dials, Abigail teleported to the portal room.

 

Sgavrinn ends up being smarter than he appears, matching the dial combo as Ragnyon cries.

 

Do you think this'll ever have a chance to actually be compiled into books?

 

Working on the frameworks of it. There's been like a dozen retcons.

 

Ok.

 

Sgavrinn manages to get a glimpse of Abigail walking through an open portal into another realm before it closes. The terminal beside it beeps, "Ready" appearing under a series of commands, the last text piece reading 'Portal to: Earth open'

Nothings impossible.

 

Sgavrinn ends up bucking Ragnyon off as he tries to figure out how to reopen the portal, whimpering.

 

The terminal appears to be hooked up to the portal. Luckily, there's a log of the commands Abigail used to open the portal to where she wanted to go; Sgavrinn just needs to use the keyboard to type them in.

 

Sgavrinn, being unable to read, lets out a howling whine, hoping someone who's literate comes.

 

Nobody comes. The portal room seems disconnected from the rest of the palace, accessible only via elevator.

 

Sgavrinn tries to press buttons that match the letters on the console.

 

Sgavrinn makes a bit of progress, but there doesn't appear to be a letter to end the line and get feedback from the terminal, like Abigail seems to have done.
