Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I focus my energy into speeding up the healing process.

I form a telepathic link with Artemis using Ihra. "She's not good, I think she might be getting worse." I say.

"Alright, she's clearly been losing blood," Artemis replies, bright green vines beginning to encase Ihra, "I'll see if I can get her fluids up."

Artemis kneels beside Ihra with a wooden cup of water, "Ihra, you've been losing blood. Here, have some water; it should help. Aj and I are doing what we can to help you." Artemis says in a kind voice, holding the water near Ihra's mouth.

 

She doesn't respond, but she slowly begins to be coated with an odd crystal-like substance.

 

Artemis is rather concerned.

"Ihra? What's happening? Are you feeling alright?" Artemis asks with concern in her voice.

"I can't seem to figure out what's happening; a last chance means of protection?" I say telepathically.

"I can only hope it's something like that; I don't think this is her time to leave." Artemis responds.

 

"I'm not sure how you people haven't caught on yet... Ihra's almost a plant. Shadows being inside her is probably not for the best. All she needs is sunlight and water. Speaking of which, you might not want to be there for the sunlight part of it, Aj."

 

Absolutely zero movement, not even a breath.
The crystal covers her body and slowly forms a more crystal-like structure around her, levitating.
The staff moves in below the crystal, standing between the crystal and the ground, resonating faintly.

 

Artemis gives a worried look.

"I think she can handle it on her own now." Artemis says.

I stop empowering Ihra and appear next to Artemis. Artemis holds my hand; concerned about Ihra.

"Why is she encasing herself like that?" I ask.

"Maybe it's to draw focus toward healing magic; increasing its potency." Artemis replies.

 

"Yes, she lives here too. I'm not sure Daras is going to try siding with Nyre soon... hopefully."
"Who is Nyre?"
"There are 10 beings called draconians in the world. Four are against us, and Nyre is one of them. Xephyr is also a draconian and has sided with us."
"Sounds fun... I might come to see what is happening myself... though I don't know why Daras would side with Nyre..."

 

The crystal hums faintly.
A voice can be heard from the staff.
"She's sealed herself. If you were to break it, her death is certain. It's a final measure of defense, only triggering when all her organs fail."

Xephyr bows.
"There are two groups of us; two groups of five. Mine has mostly been corrupted, the only exception being me. Those four seek the others' destruction, as well as that of our homeworld."

 

"Instant Ihra, just add water and sunshine?" I say nervously.

I direct the sunlight onto the Ihra-turned-crystal, hoping for the best.

OOC: At least we can hope for some pretty colors if it doesn't work. Light refraction is pretty dang cool-looking.

 

"That may trigger some regenerative reactions, considering her element. Just know that if it's broken prematurely, all will be for naught."

EDIT: And it looks pretty.

 

Hythania looks very interested... and puzzled.
"So, why are you in this world?"

 

"One of the draconians was ambushed in our world whilst retrieving his friend's keepsake, thus fulfilling his last request. Those corrupted wanted to finish the job, so everyone came here to either attack or defend him at first. Why it was this world over any other, I can't tell. Though, I know that the end of our generations long war is coming... and there's nothing any of us can do to keep it off this world."

 

"There would have to be a world. It seems like you landed in a better world than you could have. If you had been in a different world, you might be hated by the inhabitants... a lot more than this world at least."
"I sorted out the Fellakans, at least for now. At least they know that some have been seen with me."
"The Fellakans were the least of your worries. Eras, trouble is stirring in Nyme. House Xiftol... let's just say that they have made their intentions quite clear."
"I knew I should have stopped them long ago... sadly, that might be near to impossible if something like that happened."

 

"Didn't Ihra mention healing a group of wounded in the forest? If there was trouble, why wouldn't have they made a move on her?"

 

I fall to my knees, "I...I killed her...I killed a friend..." I struggle to say, tears filling my eyes as the memories of the incident haunt my mind.

"It was an accident, and she's still alive." Artemis says, putting her hand on my shoulder.

"But...her organs...they failed...b-because of me..." I say, guilt lacing my words, "I wanted to protect her...and I hurt her..."

 

"Things might have changed since then. Even with something like this, things can take time to be stirred up. And one of them DID attack her."

 

"Technically, Nyre pushed her over the edge. Though, I would like to wish you luck explaining this to her mother."

"Right, then she spat on them... Oh boy. So... is there anything we can do about it? Or... I don't know what your plan is. I'm just gonna... stop talking for a bit."

 

"Her...mother?" My eyes widen in shock.

The memories of my previous encounter with Ihra's mother flood back, I shake in fear thinking of what her mother could do.

I open my mouth to say something, only to faceplant the ground having fainted.

"Her mother wouldn't kill him, would she?" Artemis asks with concern, looking at my unconscious body.

 

"She might, if she's blinded by the condition of her daughter. She was putting a lot of blind trust in AJ when she went to deal with her own matters. That also won't help her temper, come to think of it...
...If I were you, I'd be careful. Once she gets angry, she doesn't spare a soul; and she's more than able to kill. You aren't immortal, she could wipe you both off the face of existence as if she was just warming up."

 

Artemis' eyes too widen in fear, "Well...I guess we need to hope she doesn't arrive while Ihra's still like this." Artemis says, trying to hide her fear.

A small piece of wood is held from a vine hand next to Artemis. She touches it.
