Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Grace, could you try healing her?" The goddess asks, turning to Gaia.

Gaia puts her hand above Ragnyon, a green glow coming from it as Ragnyon is healed very quickly with strong healing magic.

 

Ragnyon no longer looks sick, but the chain indentations remain.

 

The goddess watches the healing magic attempt to heal the chain indentations, looking for any kind of resistance from the magic.

 

There's absolutely no resistance.

 

"I don't think it's magic preventing the healing. She just...can't be healed. I'd say she was cursed to be unhealable, but there isn't any curse magic present either." The goddess says, looking a little closer at the magic around Ragnyon's chain indentations to make sure she's correct.

 

There are spells regulating bloodflow, but those are just keeping her flesh alive.

 

"Are you sure she can't be healed?" Gaia asks pleadingly.

"No...because she's undead." The goddess says bluntly.

"Mortius did have his suspicions about her." Tenebrae comments.

"So...she's a zombie?" Gaia asks.

"How old are you, and how long to your people usually live?" The goddess asks Ragnyon, sliding her goggles up.

 

"I'm about two hundred thousand years old, and my ancestors lived twice that."

 

"Where did those chain marks come from?" The goddess asks Ragnyon, curious.

 

"Being chained to Xlentia. My blood was abused to subject her to mind control."

 

"Do you remember how you got yourself unchained?" The goddess asks.

 

"Aj broke the chains by knocking over Xlentia, who dragged herself on the ground, and I found myself numb on the ground."

 

"Any lapses in memory between when you were chained and being freed from them?" The goddess asks.

 

"Yeah. Being kidnapped eons ago to being freed."

 

"Well, undead is the most logical theory here." The goddess says.

"But, Phoebe, if she was undead, why would she have a life signal?" Gaia asks.

"She does?" The goddess asks, tapping her glasses which change to a green tint, before sliding them back over her eyes and looking for a life signal.

 

She has two separate, strong, life forces.

 

"This is weird. If she's not undead or cursed, why wouldn't she able to be healed? By all logic healing would restore the body to a healthy state..." The goddess says, thinking, clearly confused.

 

"Maybe if I..."
Her spirit body floats off to the side.
"Does that make things any easier?" Both of her bodies ask simultaneously.

 

The goddess looks at Ragnyon's spirit form closely.

 

Same as her physical body, sans chain marks.
