Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I mean, with Sgavrinn laying around, I'm not leaving the room anytime soon anyways..."

 

"I'm sure you can look after your friend, Aj, can't you?" Tenebrae asks me.

"I shall do as you ask." I say, bowing.

"We'll be back in a bit!" Gaia says happily, heading toward the elevator. It seems Tenebrae is already in it.

The pair disappear, leaving the room rather quiet.

Sounds start coming from the large cinema-like screen at the far end of the room, Onyx seems to have started playing the game.

 

Sgavrinn watches intently as Ragnyon sits up, looking a bit dazed.
"I don't really want pity, I just wanna be a part of something. So, um... did I handle that okay?" She asks you.

 

"I think so. I was too busy trying not to mess up," I say, looking really relieved, "You had it easy anyway. One snap of Tenebrae's fingers and I no longer exist."

Artemis rests her head on me, somehow looking exhausted again after the ordeal.

 

"You forget that I ended up being a victim of association as Sgavrinn chased Gaia around like his life depended on it." Ragnyon says, letting herself fall on her back. "Artemis, I dunno what you fed him but damn he can run."

 

"Mmmm..." Artemis groans, hugging onto me, tired.

I watch Onyx play the game on the screen, my eyes occasionally drooping slightly. I pull the blanket over Artemis, who seems to have fallen asleep again.

 

Sgavrinn hears Artemis' groan, curling up around you like a heated blanket again.
...head, of course, in position to see the screen.

Ragnyon just kind of lays there, breathing the only sound she makes.

 

Onyx curls up slightly as she plays the game, pulling the blanket over her. Eventually her fails on a level begin to pile up as she falls asleep, dropping the controller. Artemis and I seem to have fallen asleep too, quiet together.

 

Sgavrinn joins the sleeping pile while Ragnyon just lays there, wishing to join them.

 

It feels like an eternity before Gaia's face suddenly pops into Ragnyon's vision.

"Come on, let's get going." Gaia says quietly, Tenebrae waiting in the elevator.

 

"Come on, Crystal. He's been through a lot today."
"Okay. Have a good rest, Rineth."
I walk away, and Crystal follows, waving.

 

Ragnyon seems to be crawling over to the elevator.

"I'll meet you in the portal room later..." He yawns.

 

Gaia picks Ragnyon up in both arms, and Tenebrae teleports the trio to the portal room.

"Apparently you can access anywhere in the universe from here with the right code!" Gaia says happily.

Tenebrae appears at the terminal, typing in commands rapidly.

 

"Fancy." Ragnyon comments, still a bit shocked about being picked up and relocated.

 

Even with Tenbrae's rapid typing, it still takes her a while to open the portal.

"Phoebe's made locating her a little awkward, so we might have to travel through space for a bit," Tenebrae says, ready to open the portal, "Having her own personal realm doesn't help either, but we all have one, so I can't blame her."

Gaia changes to her air guardian form, ready.

 

Crystal gives a one last, "Bye!" As we exit.
"You think he'll be okay?"
"Yeah. He's strong, but I just hope he doesn't continue blaming himself. He said he talked with Stephanie, so he's crossed that bridge. He just needs to rest."
"Well, let's just go to the training place."
I nod, and we calmly walk there.

 

"S-space? Won't I suffocate or freeze or something?!" Ragnyon asks, panicked.

Kyle seems to just be leaving.
"How was the portal stuff?" He asks, holding the door open for you and Crystal.

 

"It was cool seeing the stuff that was there! There was this fire city and these unicorn people and now we have an eye out for a 'Sivius' guy."
"Thanks for holding the door."
I say, as we enter.

 

"I'll keep you safe, don't worry!" Gaia says, her hair and eyes changing through a spectrum of colours.

Tenebrae opens the portal, and the trio are sucked out into the emptiness of space. Gaia holds Ragnyon close, a strange atmosphere of sorts forming around her upon changing to her larger size, as Tenebrae drags the pair to a magical barrier around a clouded planet.

Tenebrae eventually reaches the barrier, opening her skin on her palm and slamming her hand against it, getting some of her blood on the barrier. The barrier shifts, then opens, allowing the pair through, and forcing them toward the planet below.

Gaia finally lets Ragnyon out of her tight grasp, letting her rest on her palm. From what Ragnyon can see, the trio appear to be on the edge of a strange, massive floating island; green with grass and foliage. A few golems roam about passively, made of varying materials.

 

Kyle pauses.
"Sivius? Man, you really are going for broke against the Hive Master!" He laughs.

Ragnyon keeps quiet, dizzy.
