Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Gaia smiles lightly, tearing off a piece of the wreckage and forcing it into a frisbee shape, throwing it for the hellhound. However, due to Gaia's size and the smaller size if the frisbee, she ends up throwing it hundreds of miles.

 

The guard seems to turn around.
"I will notify the High Archmage. I expect both of you to stay precisely where you are."

The hellhound runs off a bit before looking back at Gaia and whining.

 

Gaia quickly makes another frisbee behind her back, before shaking it with an excited expression and tossing it to the hellhound.

 

It runs off happily.
...except it'll probably come back.

 

"Yes sir."
"Okay."
We say, almost at the same time, staying where we are.

 

Gaia packs together some sand and metal into a golem of sorts, which looks like a smaller version of herself, to look after the hellhound and play frisbee with. Gaia heads off across the desert, looking for anything that looks as different or noticeable as the frozen ocean with a curious happiness about her.

 

"Perhaps. However, I mostly spend my time traveling realms, most of the time destroying them."

 

"Do you see them as fit to be destroyed? Or are you simply using your power for fun?" Mortius asks, sounding serious.

 

"I see them fit to be destroyed. My fun comes in when the realm is already being destroyed. For example, I will not destroy a realm with a technologically inferior civilization in the verge of a technological breakthrough."

 

"Interesting." Mortius says, thinking.

"What is your judgement on what is fit to be destroyed, and what is not?" Mortius asks with an ominous tone after a pause.

 

"There are many factors. The last realm I destroyed had several civilizations who had no morals. Absolutely none. It usually depends on my mood, their actions, their history, and their morals."

 

"But are you judging them by what you deem is right, or by what they deem is right?" Mortius asks curiously.

 

"A little mix of both. Sometimes if I see their justification, I just leave them with a couple craters and then leave. Maybe a natural disaster if their justification is weak."

 

"Many different lives see the world through many different eyes. If you do not deem them worthy, why leave them in a state of peril? Would you not be considered the one in the wrong then?" Mortius asks, his voice seeming to chill your bones.

 

"I have thought about this, but at the end of the day, the realm itself isn't destroyed, and that's always better than several craters. People can always rebuild."

 

"You are certainly an interesting god. You may wish to avoid Gaia, however. She has a distaste for destruction without good meaning; a love for life." Mortius says ominously.

"I cannot help but see you appear to be rather interested in this plant." Mortius says as you feel an icy gaze on you momentarily.

 

"Indeed. The casing appears to be more symbolic than anything, unless it is magical."

 

There's a volcanic continent, and, just as the moon hits its peak, four beams of red light emit from an island beyond the frozen ocean and the storms between them.

Minutes later, one of the humanoid unicorn things approaches with a torch.
"We've had few visitors over our days stuck here... Perhaps we can have a reintroduction that is less hostile?" They ask, staff in other hand.

Their garb seems to be ceremonial over defensive.

 

"Thanks..."
Crystal says softly, but audible.
"Don't worry about it, I get it. It's night, and a magic rock and a robot come up to your camp, you don't know what we're gonna do. We just want to hear a story, though. If the timing is troublesome, we can wait until morning."
Crystal's facial expressions don't seem to agree, but he doesn't pipe up.

 

They extend a hand, torch levitating nearby.
"In that case, I am Lyxa, ruler of the remaining Cornae until Madam Ingravitus returns. You and your companion?"
