Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"d-did they have red eyes?" Onyx asks cautiously, her black cat ears twitching slightly as the breeze hits them.

 

"Nope. Grey as an undead."

 

Onyx calms down quite a bit, seeming to become a lot more trustful of Sapphire, yet still keeping her distance from the hatch.

Onyx sits down, curling her tail around her as she looks out to the ocean, letting her feet dangle off the beast's back. She gently reaches up and feels her collar around her neck, glancing down at the shiny gold nametag.

 

"Thank you not for messing with the threads, by the way. Drowning isn't high on my priority list." Sapphire says, closing the hatch as she goes back down.

The beast seems to snap at something as Sapphire lets out a panicked "not that one..."

 

Onyx gazes down at the ocean, looking for fish, before putting her hands in the way, looking at them curiously.

Onyx sighs, putting her hands by her side and going back to looking for fish.

 

There are some normal looking fish, a whale-like creature in the distance, but most of the sealife is strange. Eels swim about instead of hiding, and some strange types of fish seem to phase in and out of sight.

 

Onyx considers jumping down to try and catch some of the fish, hungry without any breakfast. Onyx looks down the beast to see if she could easily climb back up if she were to jump in.

 

There are footholds, but most footholds are bladed.
Maybe the tail?

 

Onyx glances toward the tail of the beast, getting up and walking toward it to better observe it.

 

"Instead of fire, I presume?"

 

"Correct."

It too is bladed, but if she doesn't lay flat and just avoids the razor edges, she could probably get back up.

 

Onyx decides against jumping into the ocean for fear of getting left behind, instead deciding to go hungry for the morning and gazing into the sky as she lays flat on the beast's back.

 

Sapphire soon opens the hatch.
"Here. Noticed you only ate the fish last time." She says, sliding a plate with a half of a fish on it to Onyx.

 

I just nod.

 

Onyx notices immediately, pracitcally pouncing onto the fish and eating it ravenously, sharp cat-like teeth still present even in her more human-like form.

"t-thank you" Onyx says quietly after devouring the fish, leaving only the bare bones behind.

 

"Let's see how closely you paid attention... what other matchup is weak to each other like light and dark are?"

"You seemed hungry. I'm sorry I don't have much. I... don't usually talk to others."

 

"Vulcan and life."
I respond near-instantly.

 

Onyx giggles, her tail sweeping from side to side behind her.

 

"Good. You don't need much updating." Kyle applauds. "Now, there's one more that isn't set in stone; water and ice. Depending on technique, both are weak to each other."

"W-what?" Sapphire asks, embarrased as she cloaks.

 

"As in, what techniques?"
