Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Luckily, nobody attacks the Shadow. He ends up sprinting through the outskirts of the city, adrenaline pumping through him as he nervously looks around.

 

Each one of them is an awkward amalgamation of predator parts; tigers, dragons, bears, and gryphons are all you can manage to recognize. Beyond that, some are disgustingly foreign.

Alice scans his mind for an occupation. Otherwise, she rushes back towards the mine after leaving the shadow.

 

Crystal re-checks if there's anyone around.

 

He seems to be the only one there.

 

Crystal almost touches one of the frozen animals, before realizing that it might be bad if he were to unleash a powerful beast inside the entire place.
He then decides it might be better just to check out the mess hall.

 

It seems he's a mailman, nobody important.


The mines are silent, nobody around.

 

Alice slips into the secret tunnel.

It's... having tables being rebuilt. Seems it was pretty much razed.

 

Bored, Crystal goes to check out the bunk rooms.

 

There's a few hundred guardians there, and the occasional creature skittering by.
And, of course, draconians.

 

Crystal seems amazed, deciding to go in deeper.

 

The tunnel and room are completely empty, the contents from it taken.

 

More draconians, and more creatures scuttling about.
Some kind of arachnid seems to be asleep, hanging from the ceiling.

Alice scans for absolutely anything, putting the rocks back up as she leaves.

 

There's a drop of ink on the ground, presumably from when the Shadow wrote the note, but other than some dusty rocks, nothing.

 

Crystal looks for anywhere open to rest.

 

Alice heads towards the mine entrance, scanning anything else on her way up for anything of interest.

There are plenty of vacant beds, some that seem to have been undisturbed for years.

 

Alice notices a pretty topaz sticking out from one of the mined areas walls. It looks loose enough to be able to be pulled free.

 

She considers taking it, but books it out anyways.
Alice hides out until another shadow rides in, knowing there's exactly one day until the meeting.

 

The higher up looking Shadow returns in the early morning, heading down the mined wall with the topaz.

"Damn it, nobody took the bait." The Shadow curses.

 

Alice seems amused with herself, waiting for others to come after the higher-ups.

 

The earth guardians soon begin to arrive, greeting the higher ups with a friendly "Morning!" Before starting to get to work.
