Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Alice waits to see their next move.

"We're working on an antidote for this toxin that comes from the flower." One says.
"Its pollen paralyzes anything, gods and golems included." The second adds.

 

The Shadow descends the building, leaving it once they get out and lighting a cigarette, smoking it.

 

"Do you mind if I watch?"
Crystal says, seemingly surprised at the flower's properties.

 

Alice checks her location trace to see how close this is to the other gang HQ she infiltrated.

 

It's essentially on the other side of the outskirts, the other gang HQ about 9 miles from her.

 

"Not at all, but it's slow. We're just seeing how chemical solutions react to the pollen. We're hoping to find one that is safe biologically and can reverse the effects." One says, pointing to twent test tubes, each with seperate flowers. Some seem to be reacting with the liquids, others seem to be disintegrating.

Alice just lets the Shadow take a break, satisfied with the lead.

 

"How do you test it without someone that's effected by it?"
Crystal asks, subconsciously looking around for a chair or something to sit on if time needs to fly.

 

A female Shadow walks over to the Shadow Alice is hiding in, pulling out a cigarette and holding it out for the Shadow, who lights it for her.

"How's the business?" The female Shadow asks, standing next to the Shadow.

"Couldn't I ask you the same?" The Shadow asks.

The female Shadow glares at the Shadow.

"I heard the kings gettin' more active. One of the attacks on some Shadow was trapped. By the royal guard." The Shadow says.

"So? What's he going to do?" The female Shadow asks, smoke pouring from her mouth.

"Start sending out possessed to track us down. He's not stupid." The Shadow says.

"Like the other beings have much say in our realm. Possessed are easy to find, we have nothing to worry about." The female Shadow says.

"You might have to change your customers." The Shadow warns.

"Like I'd fuck a possessed!" The female Shadow says, offended.

"You don't seem to care who you fuck nowadays." The Shadow says.

"Asshole..." The female Shadow says, taking a heavy drag on her cigarette.

 

"The spores need to be neutralized. If it harms the flower, it's hazardous to biological material. If the pollen isn't neutralized, then it doesn't work."
There are several lab stools sitting around.

This amuses Alice, though she stays low, hoping her lead goes somewhere else.

 

"Well, I don't really have experience with science, so I think I'll be going. Good luck!"
Crystal says, walking out of the lab.

 

"So what are you doing?" The female Shadow asks.

"Nothin'" The Shadow says.

"Want to be doing something?" The female Shadow asks.

The Shadow gives the female Shadow an odd look.

"I need business if the kings sending out all these possessed like you think he is." The female Shadow says, shrugging.

The Shadow contemplates for a bit.

"Sure. Fuck it. Why not." The Shadow says, taking a last drag on his cigarette before throwing it away.

"I know you too well." The female Shadow says, smirking as she heads into the building, throwing her cigarette away too. The Shadow follows her, sighing.

 

"Thank you. Good day to you." The second says.

 

With a wave off, Crystal jogs back to the map and checks the other places he hasn't gone to.

 

Disgusted, Alice looks for another gang member that looks to be leaving.

Mess hall, Archives, Bunk Rooms, and... a Stasis room?

 

A somewhat nervous looking Shadow walks by, looking around with fear in his eyes as he hurries along.

 

Alice enters him and scans his thoughts.

 

Curiosity-driven once again, Crystal checks out what the Stasis room might be.

 

"Oh god, I really shouldn't be here," The Shadow thinks, "Oh god oh god oh god, please don't jump out of that alley and mug me, anyone. I need to get out of here..."

 

Upon finding and entering, thousands of chimera are, well, frozen in stasis.
Nobody seems to be present.

Alice waits to see if there's an attacker, and if there is, she enters them.

 

Crystal goes closer, examining each.
