Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal slowly takes out the fire spear with his left hand, not seeming to care that much about the ice shards.

 

The guard sighs in relief, checking Alice over gently for any signs of injury.

 

Nothing.

Another wall of spears plants themselves in front of Crystal, further slowing his progress.

 

The guard leaves Alice to sleep, closing her bedroom and front doors quietly.

 

Crystal looks for the frost spears.

In the mornings, Alice checks the time before grabbing the meeting acceptance letter, seeing how long she has.

There don't seem to be any.

 

Alice seems to have overslept a bit, the time reading 11:34am, enough time to grab some brunch and get ready for the meeting.

 

He swiftly scans for the kinds of spears that are there.

 

Water, earth, magma, air, and electric.

She opts to go get tea and then play it safe and just wait outside the throne room for her meeting.

 

A few other beings arrive, mostly Shadows and Guardians, as Alice waits. At around half past one, the guard outside the throne room calls everyone over and begins checking documents and letters.

 

Alice, starting to get a bit nervous, gets her letter ready.

 

Taking the best guess he's got, Crystal uses some earth magic assisted by the spear to attempt to destroy at least the shafts of the electric spears.

 

"Your letter, Miss?" The guard asks once he gets to Alice, holding his hand out.

 

Alice hands over the letter.

That gives him a tiny opening, but Nilarq seems to be literally waiting for him.

 

The guard reads over the letter, before handing it back.

"Alright, Alice, you check out," The guard says, "That, uh, jewellery you're wearing. It isn't used in water and ice magic, is it?"

 

Crystal blasts some fire with assistance of the fire spear.

 

"I'm not sure. It was a gift from a friend, but to be safe, here..." She says, taking it off.

The water spears render the attack pointless.
"You die on three. Clear?" Nilarq asks.

 

"Thank you, Alice. You can have it back after your meeting," The guard says, taking the jewellery and desummoning it, "Since your meeting's a lot later than some of the others here, you might want to wait at the back of the queue."

 

"Sure." She says, suddenly shivering before heading back.

 

There's a quiet pause.
"I didn't know you were a prophet."
Is all Crystal says before attempting to barrel through the gap, raising Nilarq with a wall of earth beforehand.
