Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Oddly, the return address is in the palace itself, in one of the bedrooms. "Room QW4a, The Shadow Palace, Reovin City." the return address reads.

 

Alice writes up a letter, then pauses before heading just outside her house.
"Excuse me, but can you tell me where I can get an envelope and how much postage is for an in-palace delivery?" She asks.

 

"In-palace deliveries are free. You should be able to find envelopes in the mailing room. Just ask for one." A guard says, turning slightly visible.

 

"Okay, thank you!" Alive says happily, popping inside to retrieve her folded letter then paging through the elevator book for the mailing room.

 

Are the spears making up the wall horizontal or vertical?

Shifting to block one earth spear with his own, he plants his spear and coils around it, shifting back into a human form. He then take the spear he planted.

 

Both.

"Two." Nilarq says, feigning a jab.

 

Alice finds the page for the mailing room on the second page, and upon turning to the page, the positions of the dials can be seen. They appear to be at roughly 45 degree angles to the left and right, the centre dial pointed downward.

 

Alice puts in the combination, happy.

 

Alice is teleported to a room full of people, sets of desks separated by glass panes lining the room and creating a divide. Various Shadows and Guardians queue in lines, some with mail, others with packages, each handing over their respective items and signing forms. One of the desks, a sign above it reading 'Mail Supplies' doesn't seem to have anyone queueing, luckily.

 

Crystal doesn't quite block, but jumps backs instinctively, checking what Nilarq's equipped spear is before advancing again.

 

Alice heads over to the Mail Supplies desk.

His equipped spear seems to be air, seeing as Crystal is blown back further than he anticipated.

 

A tired looking air guardian sits behind the desk.

"Hey...what can I get you?" The air guardian asks, yawning.

 

"Just an envelope... and whatever else is needed for in-palace mail."

 

Crystal advances more, preparing.

 

The air guardian reaches under his desk, retrieving an envelope and sliding it through a gap in the glass, onto the desk on Alice's side.

"I can add a wax seal for you if you want...you can use the pen on the desk to write the address and stuff." The air guardian says sleepily. A pen seems to be chained to the desk.

 

Nilarq sprays magma in Crystal's general direction, doing little other than making the approach more difficult.

"Sure, thanks." Alice says, slipping the letter in the envelope and loosely sealing it with nearly invisible folds.
She then writes the address on the envelope wit the provided pen.

 

"Any specific design or colour you want for your seal?" The air guardian asks.

 

Crystal makes a plate with his left arm, angling it at the magma so most of it slides off before it gets to Crystal. He prepares for a strike from Nilarq.

 

"Not really." Alice says.

It melts into Crystal slightly, Nilarq preparing a spell of sorts.

 

Slightly moving to the right and keeping his plate up, Crystal swipes for Nilarq'a knees, hoping to get something.
