Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah...but, how could she have possibly gotten here? Most of the portals I've seen have been people sized!" Katie says, thinking.

Katie stumbles on a rock in the path, not noticing it as she was lost in thought. Using an icy hand, Katie picks up the rock and throws it out of the way, so nobody else trips on it.

 

"I dunno. She's a goddess, surely all immortals have their ways?"
Alice pauses.
"Hey, I see it! Hang left."

 

"Huh?" Katie says, hanging to the left, not realizing how far she'd walked.

 

There's a clothing shop there, robes clearly of draconian craft searated from normal clothing.

...and Lidnis in her cloak.
"H-huh? Hello, Katie... um... welcome to the shop." Lidnis says uneasily. "I didn't expect to see you here."

 

"Oh! Hey, um, Lidnis, right? Wow, those robes look amazing!" Katie says, noticing the draconian crafted robes, walking over to them and looking them over without touching them.

 

"Yes, thank you."
They seem just like the ones in the draconian marketplace.

Alice grabs a black and red robe, looking it over.
"How much?"
"Five diamond?"
Alice seems thrilled.
"Sure. This one, please!"
Lidnis cuts the tags and takes the five diamond, showing Alice to the changing rooms.

"So, Katie... what brings you and your friend here?" Lidnis asks, trying to stir conversation.

 

"Oh, well, it's a bit of a long story. I was getting some breakfast with Abigail, and we sat down opposite Alice. It turns out we've become somewhat famous by travelling with Aj and Ihra, and Abigail and I took Alice skateboarding. She couldn't really skateboard, though, and asked me if she thought she could get a job at the palace looking like how she currently looks. I said she needed some new clothes, and got some money off of Aj to give to her so she could buy some new clothes. She recommended your shop to me on the way here, so, here we are!" Katie explains happily, the air in the shop cooling slightly with Katie's positive mood.

 

"Ah, I didn't know this shop was quite that well known. Boss'll be happy to hear that! Treat her well, please. She's... still one of mine at heart."

 

"I guess she does take the form of one of your kind." Katie says understandingly, smiling.

 

Alice comes out in her new robe, smiling.
"Does this look better?" She asks, doing a half-turn.

 

"Wow! You look amazing!" Katie compliments.

 

"Thanks!"
"Good luck getting the job." Lidnis says warmly.
"Thanks! Have a good day!"

 

"Bye!" Katie says happily, leaving the shop with a wave.

"So where do you want to go now? You still have a diamond left to spend." Katie asks happily once outside the shop.

 

"Well... I was just gonna give it back. It's technically yours, still." She says, a bit sheepishly.

 

"I think you should spend it on whatever you like." Katie says, smiling warmly.

 

"Well... um... I dunno. I used to try to save any spare money in case I need it, so I guess I could bank it, if you don't mind. You never know when something unexpected pops up."

 

"Oh, yeah sure. It's probably best to keep a diamond around just in case you see something you really want to buy, and need a diamond for it." Katie says, chuckling slightly.

 

"I, uh, don't have that."
Crystal says honestly.

 

"I never have much chance to buy things I want. I thought it was a luxury only the royals had." Alice says, a bit surprised.
