Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sophie is eventually shaken awake, offered a canned drink by me.

"Here, this'll keep your energy up until your transplant." I say, offering the canned drink.

 

Sophie takes a sip, weary.
"Thanks..." She mumbles in Dacori, not realizing her surroundings.

 

The drink is very sugary, a strong taste to it as Sophie gets a small rush of energy just from the sip.

Aeris seems to have regained consciousness, but seems rather confused at all the spaghetti and sauce on her face. Aqui's mood seems to have improved, slightly, as she eats the last of her soup.

 

Sophie blinks, a bit taken off guard.
"I swear, Ruby probably drank one of those every second."

 

"Doubt it. It's native to the Shadow realm, should feed the darkness within you so your organs don't fail." I say, eating a large cut of steak.

There's a loud slurping sound as Aeris slurps her spaghetti, gaining the attention of the others. Aeris tries to slurp a little quiter, shrinking back into her chair, embarassed.

 

"I just mean... this had to be how she felt."

 

"Oh yeah, the stuff's strong," I say, "It has quite the lasting kick."

"Aj...wuh, where are our clothes...?" Abigail asks, confused about her lack of clothing.

"Being retrieved from storage. They got put away so nobody could steal them." I say, smiling.

"Uh...oh...ok..." Abigail says sleepily, almost passing out.

"It's rather annoying getting...glances while I look like this." Tirra says, rubbing her eyes.

 

Sapphire blue threads weave into cloth around the elites.
"I-is that better?"

 

"Thank you. I'd rather not have my hardly covered breasts on display for all to see." Tirra says bluntly, continuing to eat her food.

There's a snicker from Victus' direction.

"Something funny?" Tirra asks, clearly fed up.

"No, nothing." Victus says smirking.

"Victus, we're all exhausted here, please don't try and start anything." Tirra says.

"Ugh, alright, sorry." Victus says, clearly tired.

 

Sophie just waits for the elites to finish, lost in thought and worry.
"Also, um... it worked. She... Xlentia, seems fine again."

 

"At least our efforts weren't in vain, then." Myria says, glancing at Artemis who seems to have fallen asleep on her after finishing her food.

"She seems nicer..." Stephanie says hollowly.

"One casualty isn't that bad. Pretty good really." I say, finishing my food.

"What...do we do now...?" Ignia asks tiredly.

"Probably rest. That's the best thing considering the state of...everyone." I say, looking around. A couple of waiters walk around, picking up the empty plates, Aeris' spaghetti covered face sliding off her plate with a moan as it's taken.

 

"Xlentia also unfired me, so I guess that's nice for me too... um... also, she wanted to talk to you all. Almost passed out here trying."

 

"Perhaps our meeting could be held tomorrow." Mortimer says, yawning and getting up from his chair. The others follow, Artemis being carried by Myria.

"Yeah...I think I could use a power nap." I say, heading toward the exit of the dining hall.

 

"I'll try to let her know." Sophie says, following you, considering you're half-empowering her.

 

"Oh...right...I'll take you to the medical ward first Sophie. You need an organ transplant sharpish." I say, remembering.

The group heads into an elevator, the elevator itself getting a little cramped with the amount of people. After turning a few dials, everyone is teleported to what appears to be a hallway similar to the guest bedrooms, except a lot fancier, doors adorned with various element-based items. Most of the group files out, heading into their respective elemental doorways, leaving just Stephanie, Sophie and I in the elevator.

"Don't worry about the transplant, by the way. We have some...professional surgeons." I say, yawning partway through my sentence as I turn the dials in the elevator again.

 

"I worry about everything..." Sophie sighs. "I still feel relieved that this queen didn't die to Ruby's last attack... I wish... w-well, most of me wishes it never happened..."

 

"Is that what happened?" I ask, teleporting the three of us to the medical ward.

I lead Sophie through the medical ward, into a hallway with rooms marked with 'Surgery' and a number beside them, Stephanie following; her presence marked with the clinks of her feet.

"Wait here, I'll inform the surgeons of what needs to be done." I say, heading out of the hallway through a pair of doors.

 

"Y-yes... she thought your intention was to kill her mistress, and as any loyal servant would, gave themselves to stop it. I couldn't reason with her..." Sophie sighs.

 

A short while later, I return, a few Shadows and forest guardians following me, all dressed like they're ready to operate.

"Well, the good news is everything is ready for you to have an organ transplant," I say happily when I return, "You can just head into the first surgery room if you're ready."

 

"S-sure... um..." Sophie utters, entering the room and uncloaking/removing her twisted armor.
