Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie just watches, telekinetically picking Sapphire up when she falls, holding her up like she's standing.

The group is pulled out of the vats, weak and unable to stand on their own.

"What...happened?" Artemis asks, confused and slightly scared, looking toward Myria in slight panic.

"Ah, how are you all feeling?" The fire guardian asks, smiling.

"W-Where are we?" Katie asks, looking around, terrified.

"You're in the labs of the Shadow palace, you've just been healing in these vats after your mighty battle for..." The fire guardian turns back to her computer, "Three weeks."

"What...the hell am I...wearing?" Abigail asks tiredly, looking at her clothing, or rather, lack thereof.

"I suggest you all go to the dining hall to get some food and drink. Your bodies will take a bit of time to recover." The fire guardian says happily as the group is dragged out, a trail of slimy liquid in their wake.

Aqui doesn't say anything, simply glaring at the leading fire guardian as she's dragged away.

 

"A-are they fine?" Sophie mumbles weakly.

 

"Their bodies are naturally weak after spending so long in the vats," The fire guardian says, noticing Sapphire as she leaves, "But in terms of health, they're perfectly fine."

A few moments later, I walk out of the healing room in nothing but a slim pair of underpants, much like the clothing the others wore, stretching.

"Oh, hey Sophie. Hey Stephanie." I say, wiping my eyes tiredly and heading toward the elevator.

I stop halfway, turning back around.

"Stephanie...?" I ask, surprised.

Stephanie waves lightly.

"You're...alive!?" I say, running over to Stephanie and hugging her.

"I'm still dead...but my spirit persists..." Stephanie says ominously, accepting the hug.

 

"I-I could've sworn I saw sister... but she's..."
An inhale follows as she becomes too weak to resist the autobreather doing its job.

 

Crystal slithers off with Kyle, and I lag behind, but eventually catch up.

 

A robed draconian seems to be busy with paperwork.
"Hey, Nilarq, finish up."
"The hell do you want?"
"Somebody's interested in using the spear."
"And?"

 

Crystal, transforming into a human form, keeping he spear along his back pipes in.
"And I want to use it."
He says happily, while I'm just silent.

 

"Oh... fine. Do you have any experience with weapons yet?" Nilarq asks, standing up slowly.

 

"Not really."
Crystal says in the same tone, before realizing why he asked.
"Oh... that's a problem isn't it."

 

"Whoa, Saph...you okay?" I say, yawning, still recovering.

Stephanie looks slightly concerned.

 

Nilarq pulls eight spears from his robe, all of them different elements.
"Yes. And I suggest you start with a nonelemental, then. Best place to start is square one."

"Huuuunh... Where's... Lian..."

 

"Who?" I ask, checking Sapphire's autobreather.

 

"Lian..."

The autobreather seems to be working fine. It's just doing most of the work.

 

Concerned, I empower Sapphire for a moment, taking over control of her breathing and checking over her internal organs and status to make sure she isn't dying.

 

"Oh."
Crystal says, disappointed.
"Should I give this to you, then?"
Crystal says, shifting out the spear.

 

She's barely alive, her organs all weak.
"T-thanks... L-lian..."

"Just leave it off on the side. Here." He grunts, tossing Crystal a non-elemental spear.

 

"Jesus christ. I think you might need an organ transplant, or at least something to strengthen your weak organs." I say, seriously concerned.

Compared to Lian's power, Sapphire feels a massive surge of energy.

 

This jolts her awake.
"What? W-who're you... you're a lot more confident than Lian!"

 

"Aj, the Shadow king, I was basically just standing in front of you while you were almost dying?" I say, slightly confused, "Anyway, I'm thinking you might need an organ transplant. Your organs are too weak to function on their own as is."

 

"What're those?" Sapphire asks. "I thought you were Lian, the servant tasked with keeping me alive now that I'm... alive."
