Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"People are really strange sometimes..." She continues to read the 'myth.'

 

"Probably the library." Xlentia says before tending to her mountains of gold.

There's not much more. There's an add-on myth that the draconian survived and was simply frozen inside the planet as it later died, but other theories say the planet was the homeworld brought to ruin by the Hive Master.

 

"Oh...thanks..." Stephanie says ominously, floating down the rest of Xlentia's gold pile before leaving her quarters, headed toward the library. Stephanie's glassy clinks as she walks are quite easy to notice, though Stephanie tries to keep her appearance hidden.

 

She's going to read about another leader.

 

Seems like half the draconians notice her glass body, but don't say anything about it.

Next is an expedition leader who had an odd habit of wanting to trigger absolutely every trap by any means possible. Nobody wanted to keep giving him arrows, so he used a sling as a weapon and a dagger up close.
Surprisingly, his antics reportedly got nobody killed, though he died to an illness of a world he had been mapping.

 

Stephanie continues to walk onward toward the library, bearing the looks and glances of the draconians without care, as she realised she's dead.

Stephanie eventually makes it to the library, opening the doors (if they weren't already open) and stepping inside, looking around.

 

"Who does this?" She's going to continue reading about the leader. If there isn't any, then she reads another leader.

 

Emerald seems to have been expecting her.
"Glass, huh? Figured they'd have a robot body ready for you at least."

He was formally a soldier who was forcefully removed from service after he became vocal about his boredom. He never studied, but always spent his time in places people tended to not go; cliffs with loose footing, deep caves, the like. He eventually started inventing security devices, and upon becoming bored with this too, turned to exploration and alien worlds for amusement.

 

"I asked for glass..." Stephanie says eerily, lowering her hood to show Emerald her glassy face and hair.

 

"Why? It's... not very discreet."

 

She is going to keep reading. (OOC: Just tag me when something important happens)

 

"Because I am delicate..." Stephanie says, "I am just a soul..."

 

"Souls can be strong. You know what they did to your shadow friend."

 

"I am still but a delicate soul..." Stephanie says hollowly, "I do not possess their power..."

 

Emily seems to ignore that.
"Still... what bringz you hdrd this time?"

 

Stephanie turns her head to the side, confused.

"Excuse me...?" Stephanie asks, her voice echoing slightly.

 

"I'd make for a story, but it's not too much. I'm only, about, seven years old. Most of which is spent trapped."
"I thought you were older than me!"
Crystal the gauntlet says, giving his opinion.
"Looks can be deceiving."
I simply respond.

 

The projection of Emily fades.

"Notice: Spirit, Stephanie. Presence requested at Archives." An automated voice says, audible but not blisteringly loud.

Mechas are hard reads." Kyle chuckles. "At any rate, we're not far."

 

Stephanie realises that anyone who knows her and is present in the library will know she's there, and a spirit, but climbs a bookshelf close to the overhnaging ledge, telekinetically assisted, anyway; uncaring. Stephanie catches any books she knocks off with telekinesis too, putting them back before climbing onward.

Stephanie makes a leap for the ledge of the floor containing the archives, her fall slowed through her stronger telekinetic grasp. Stephanie climbs onto the floor after securing her grasp on it, before heading toward the door to the archives and knocking.

 

"You haven't even told us what we're about to see."
"Yeah, what's this 'facility', anyways?"
