"So, that crystal is an explosive... of sorts. Is there any side effect to it... being torn in half?"
Ihra looks at Xephyr awkwardly.

"I didn't mean it that way!" Xephyr barks.

Rineth snags Ihra with his tail and takes off vertically.
Xephyr tries to stay low to the ground.

 

OOC: How much extremely hard and strong metal can the Shadow Katana go through before it's deflected back?

When the crystal lands, it explodes on the Serpent's head. The blast has some effect, as the Serpent slows down slightly, but it surprisingly does little.
Eras' scythes of darkness hit the front legs (yes it does have front and back legs), head and back. The ones on the back have no effect and the ones on the head only annoy it. However, the ones which hit the leg make the Serpent stumble slightly. Then it slows down more and Eras flies out of the way before it hits him.
As the Serpent can't really turn at the speed it is travelling at, or not quickly enough to catch up with Eras or Rineth, it locks onto Xephyr.
The Serpent's back legs emerge and its body size shortens as its tail comes nearer.

 

OOC: Shadow Katana is so sharp it can cut holes in space and time itself, but it could probably only dig as deep as it's blade with a single stab; as with any bladed weapon. I can re-summon it to my hand or its sheath if I ever get it jammed in something, however.

If you're implying the serpent's head is metallic, and therefore could repel my strike, I'll just say:


As I stab Shadow Katana into the serpent's head, I'm met with resistance; Shadow Katana can't seem to dig much deeper. I pull Shadow Katana from its head, "Uh, I guess plan B?" I say.

I regrow the wings on my back and jump off the serpent's head, flying toward Rineth and Ihra.

 

"Here boy."
Xephyr leaps.
"Catch."
Another crystal, but it doesn't explode immediately.

She stares it down from above.

 

I summon a rod of uranium in my hand.

"Maybe it wants a glowy burrito?" I say, flipping the rod in my hand. It seems to have no harmful effects on me, "Attacking this thing from inside is probably the best strategy."

 

OCC: Sorry, I'll try to be more active, what with spring break.

"No matter, I suppose."

 

OOC: No worries, I know life happens.

"So... uh... do you know why I was called here? Sorry to be pushy, but I do have... problems of my own, per se."
It's obvious I'm nervous and don't actually have anywhere better to be.

 

"Yeah, things work, just... no humans to be seen."

 

"If you want to be technical, I called you here to stop people from stabbing you in the back, as was inevitable if you had just waltzed around the city. But my..." He hesitates, glancing up at the ceiling. "...intuition tells me you wanted to apologize, yes?"

 

I scratch my head innocently.
"So... uh, where exactly did you send him? 13 and I don't have very high capacity for clairvoyance."

 

"Check the news, maybe? Look for anything that may have happened."

The breeze picks up as if the walls of your office don't exist.

 

"Also, I CAN'T FLY."
I say to AJ, backing up a bit.

 

"Seems I'm not the only one with contact... or I'm extremely transparent. I didn't mean to raise such a fuss, but... Ugh, I'd leave if I could, this world doesn't need this mess.
Wait. Are you the... General... person?"
I look a bit stupid. And very confused.

 

"Oh, I'm sorry. I figured that was clear. Yes, I am General Faelar."

OCC: Or whatever I named him earlier

 

"I'm... not the most attentive one in my group."
I pause, looking guilty.
"Uh... so you called me here... I know I've asked it multiple times, but... I feel like we're both holding something back here. Just a gut instinct..."
"This is why Riihs handled these kinds of affairs..." I mutter.

 

"Anyways, I was just down there studying." after a pause, I add: "And I have some powers to protect me, if anything does happen.." For a second the sky itself seems to waver slightly.

 

"I didn't mean to call you powerless, I was just concerned that you'll be driven from the well, and most of your power seems to be connected to it."
Tirai's eyes flicker lifeless for moments, losing his balance. He kneels, trying to shake it off.
"Urgh... sorry. This world... a climactic battle is coming. Every move a gamble, a trade. I cannot spare it from being the battlefield, but I hope to spare it from the aftermath."

 

"Yes, its mouth is weak, which means so is its inside. Just make sure that whatever you throw inside doesn't burn or melt instantly."
The rock cliff above the cave starts to collapse as a tail complete with a double-bladed axe shaped tip lunges out and tries to go straight up towards Rineth and Ihra.
The head itself lunges into the side of the valley.
I fire more scythes of darkness at its underside, which is exposed slightly as it turns. Its underside is glowing a strange red-white-blue colour and is steaming. The valley suddenly seems to be becoming hotter.

 

"In that case, idea.

...I wouldn't be alive..."
A dark bolt seems to be absorbed by the monster's body.
"...if I couldn't borrow time."

"Xephyr, crystal's set!" Rineth bucks off Ihra before taking the blow. He disintegrates into black dust, roaring. She glides, circling the area.

"Almost... there..." Xephyr mutters, tome radiating a large dark aura.

 

"I used a mix of telepathy and teleportation magic to send him to where Ihra and Xephyr are. Using the reciver of the telepathic connection, I pinpointed the location; I then lent Aj some of my magic to send him there."

I salute, saying "See ya!" before disappearing in a blast of darkness.

"We need to get it to charge and get knocked over!" I say, "Its underside is unprotected, if we could flip it then we could attack it."

I think for a moment, before saying "Do any of you have any Anti-Gravity Crystals?"

I fly over to Ihra, and guard her; holding Shadow Katana ready.

"He's not really dead, is he? Or rather, he was never alive?" I say to Ihra.

I look over to Xephyr's tome with appreciation. There's no hiding my smile at the use of dark magic.
