Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Rest because I feel like I'm gonna explode." Sophie thinks.

"Shut up..." She sighs.

 

"Oh, alright. Shall I take you back to your room?" Lian asks.

 

"Please."

 

"Ok? What's uh...Crystal doing?" She sees Crystal holding on to a tentacle.

 

Lian walks Sophie back the bedrooms, using the elevator they appeared at. Once back in the room, Lian puts Sophie in bed, before appearing beside her.

"I'll be outside, Miss Sophie." Lian says, leaving the room.

 

"I dunno. Sitting in my treasure hoard?"

"Thanks."
Sophie just lays there, tired.

 

Lian waits outside the door patiently for Sophie to show signs that she wishes to do something else.

 

"Probably thinking of Buddy."

 

That takes a while.
As the sun sets, Sophie returns to the door.

"Stop spouting nonsense... I'm not in the mood for... pretty much anything... did you by chance see who made off with my gold?"

 

"Hmmm...nope. Haven't seen anyone suspicious."

 

Lian seems to notice.

"Are you feeling better, Miss Sophie?" Lian asks.

 

"Did you see who stabbed my eye out? Still can't see straight..."

 

"One of the shadows maybe? I don't know."

 

"Yes, thank you. Before we go back, I have a question - do you have any shadow draconians? Like, we're not exactly the least common thing out there... maybe a few adapted to the shadow realm over time?"

"A what?"

 

"I'm not sure. I haven't seen any, but you could look in the city," Lian suggests, "There are hundreds if not thousands of Shadows in the city, you're bound to find at least one!"

 

"Crystal!"
I hiss, noticing Cecil talking to Xelentia.
"What? She's not up yet."
He responds, still paying attention to the tentacles.
"Check again."
Crystal gets off the tentacle, and notices that Xelentia is, in fact, awake.
"Oh... Uh... Sorry, Xelentia."
Crystal says sheepishly.

 

"Well, maybe. I dunno, probably better to focus on learning to live..." Sophie trails off.

"Huh? Oh, aren't you pretty..."

 

Lian, unsure of what to do, stays quiet.

 

"Ehm... thanks?"
Crystal seems surprised.

I listen on, but focus on the texture and approximate size of the large horns.

 

"Empower. Process food?" Sophie whispers.
