"At least her death wasn't that painful."

 

"What's your curse?" Lian asks, curious.

OOC: Stephanie's death was actually very painful.

 

"The thing you're riding in is my only means of combat. Puppets only. Screwed if they get to me." She utters.

 

(OOC: It's an innocent Crystal, even though I said it straight)

 

"Yeah... yeah, at least."
Crystal looks at me, then back at the blood.

 

"Let's just look away from that." She says, while turning her head to Xlentia.

 

Xlentia lets out a groan, slowly shifting from an awkward position to one that looks normal for a nap.

 

"Well, the king and queen are the most powerful beings in our realm, and half of that power comes from the armies they control." Lian says, smiling, trying to lighten Sophie up.

 

Sophie turns away.
"At least I have my head..." She mumbles.

 

Crystal just walks over to me, supposedly to console.

 

"Hm?" Lian asks, unhearing of Sophie's mumbles.

 

"She must be having a nice nap."

 

"Oh, one of my brothers is cursed to be headless. It's disgusting..." She spits, hating to repeat the thought.

She responds with a weak groan.

 

"I'm sorry to hear that." Lian says respectfully.

 

"I'm surprised you haven't found my sis who wanders your home realm. She's gotta be surviving somehow... though... I'd rather change the topic."

 

"Um...What have you got to do here, again?" Lian asks, trying to change the topic.

 

"Get to the portal, see who Mavis said was dropped off, and- ah, no! Selene, turn around! That robot probably can answer questions!" Sophie shouts, panicking.

 

"Robot?" Lian asks, curious.

 

"What did Aj call her... Eve, I think? Maybe I should ask Emily..."

 

"Ah, yes. Eve. She's certainly an amazing creation of the king's." Lian says happily.
