Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That is one of my main jobs. I've been instructed to help you with breathing, eating and other natural functions should you struggle." Lian says, smiling.

 

"Well, just don't make yourself obvious. Cerise has a thing for chasing shadows to play - usually her own. I don't want her suddenly trying to chase me... again."

 

"Then I'll protect you from this 'Cerise' you speak of." Lian says proudly.

 

"No need to protect. She's nice! Well, unless I tell her not to be." Sophie laughs. "You'll meet my children, I guess. They're kind of loose cannons, but they're good."

 

"Very well. I doubt you'll want to stay in this small room for much longer?" Lian asks, "You seem passionate about leaving."

 

"More claustrophobic than camping out in Selene's mouth!" Sophie laughs. "I just can't forget my mask, this armor was custom forged."

 

"That sounds quite impressive. Who was the smith?" Lian asks, opening the metal door for both Joanne and Sophie. Joanne leaves, going back to her work.

 

Sophie pauses.
"Well... uhm... the same person who did... the damage... to your queen."

 

"Is she up yet?"
The thing asks, standing by the unconcious Crystal.
"She's better."
I respond.
"Anything else?"
I ask Xelentia.

 

No response.

 

Lian pauses for a bit, glancing toward the healing room momentarily.

"W-Well, it seems she was able to do some good in her life, right?" Lian says, "I'd also like to apologise if you were intending to see the queen. She's currently...indisposed at the moment for obvious reasons."

 

"The king, actually... I found Alpha in bits earlier and figured it was his group's doing. Then again, that's what I get for taking it easy, I guess."

 

"The king is recovering from the battle, but I'm sure you'll be able to see him soon. I'm sorry for the inconveniences, but the king has stated he wanted to spend some time alone to recover." Lian says, lying. However, he doesn't look like he's actually lying. Perhaps he simply doesn't know?

"If this 'Alpha' is urgent, I'm sure you could find him in his game room, though. He's known to spend time recovering there, it's a calm place for him." Lian says. It appears as if he only knows the truth about Shadow Stephanie.

 

Sophie keeps quiet.
"It can wait. I'll see what can be salvaged. Dead aren't causing any troubles."

 

"Ah, alright then. Where would you like to go?" Lian asks respectfully, expecting Sophie to lead.

 

"I think I'm going to take Cerise home and hope Milla finished up her contract." Sophie says offhandedly...

 

"Excuse me? I...don't know who those people are." Lian asks, confused.

 

"You'll meet them soon, if you're helping me. I just need to get back to Mistress' palace..." Sophie says, getting her thoughts straight.

 

"I'm sure I'll be able to take you there. That was the area where the recent battle was fought, correct?" Lian asks.

 

"Yes, it is." Sophie says. "Can you track me with my mask on?" She asks, her cloak complete with her mask.
