Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I think for a bit, "What happens if she did?" I ask.

 

"I-I'd... be put t-to death for helping t-the intruders..." She stammers, backing up.

 

"Or, you help the intruders, the intruders stop you from being killed, and you don't get put to death." I say, smiling.

 

"B-but I am helping them..."
She's completely oblivious to the situation apparently.

 

"Oh, really? How so?" I ask.

 

1050+ pages, oh my.

 

She pauses.
"W-which side are you on?" She asks, spectral strings falling from her fingers.

 

"What will your reaction be for either side?" I ask, curious.

 

"D-don't lie to me, shadow..."

 

"Then why bother asking?" I ask.

 

"B-because we worked with shadows before..."

 

"Where?" I ask, serious, disappearing and appearing right in the draconian's face. My expression clearly not happy.

 

She squints.
"A-ah... you're with the intruders... please, hurry... I can only slow her for so long..."

 

"Who?" I ask, taking a step back.

 

"Xlentia... who else would I hinder while trying to help you?"

 

"Some unseen enemy who's four times as powerful?" I ask, shrugging, before heading back to the barrier and leaving the draconian.

Eve seems to be quite frustrated with the barrier at this point. I decide to increase my size, growing incredibly large before dealing out rounds of massive, heavy punches onto the barrier.

 

The barrier still seems largely unaffected, despite this.

 

In one last attempt, I double my current size, putting a lot of weight on the palace, before delivering a mighty stomp on the barrier.

 

You cause a roof collapse near the entrance, and the barrier just flexes a little bit in response.

 

I shrink back down to my normal size, panting a bit.

"This thing...sure can...take a beating." I say between breaths.

"Perhaps you could shrink yourself so small you simply phase through?" Eve asks.

"Let me...just catch...my breath..." I say, clearly exhausted.
