Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie seems rather annoyed, but doesn't follow.

 

Ihra soon comes back to give Stephanie a hug.
"Why is my staff telling me I need to kill you?" She utters through tears. "I can't..."

 

Stephanie flinches, pulling away.

"Ghha'kr reijv'ze!" Stephanie says, terrified, before turning and running back to the group, hiding behind me.

 

"Aj, s-something's wrong." Ihra utters. "The crystal in my staff wants me to kill Stephanie. I can't, won't... what happened to her?"

 

"I think she got friendly with some dark gods or something. Powerful things that control a lot," I say calmly.

 

"Well, I won't hurt her. I may... um... not agree with that decision, but a friend's a friend." She tries to reassure herself.

 

"Good. You'll be dealt the harm you do to her anyway." I say, relaxed.

 

Ihra nods.
"You're the same way too, aren't you?" She asks herself before going back to search for Rineth.

 

Stephanie watches Ihra leave cautiously.

 

Her horns are glowing, as is her tail, but it seems to just be a result of her charges.
She seems to be setting up the portal.

 

Stephanie goes back to talking, or rather listening to, her team. Getting prepared for the upcoming fight.

 

"Let's go. Ihra can't see me, or she'll probably freak the hell out." Cecil gets ready to go to the city.

 

Kailee can be seen flying overhead towards the city.
You and you alone sense something off with her, however.

Kailee picks you up and flies over, landing minutes later.
"Make it quick."

 

"Give me a moment, I have to deal with something personal. I'll be back soon." I say to Myria, Mortimer and Stephanie, before leaping up in the air and flying toward the city after Kailee with a pair of Shadow Wings only just grown.

As I fly after Kailee, I try to sense what exactly is off.

 

You sense a familiar dormant energy on Kailee as she lands at the city, dropping Cecil off.

 

I disappear, before landing close to Kailee to get a better sense of what the energy is.

 

It seems to be on Cecil rather than Kailee.

 

"Got it." Cecil is going to head off to the same robe shop as before.

 

I look on multiple planes of existence to check if Cecil has been possessed by anything, or to see what the energy is.

 

The shopkeep doesn't get very far before hesitating, fear in their eyes.
"Um... just... just take one..." They stutter.

The energy seems to be coming from a pair of vaguely familiar blades.
