Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"It shall be done." Mortimer says, bowing.

 

"Heh, finally someone who puts respect over trivial concerns." Ruby's voice echoes.
"Now, I'm going to make sure Abigail and Ignia are burning bright for the battle to come."

 

"Very well. Ignia should already be prepared." Mortimer says.

 

"What are the chances of me surviving during the battle without the sword?"

 

Ruby hovers near Ignia, watching her closely and looking at her equipment.

Next to zero, with or without."

 

Ignia seems to have equipment much like Abigail's, though with less technological aspects.

Ignia puts her finger into a gun like pose, before firing it and sending out a large jet of fire.

"Whoa, that's so cool!" Abigail says, astonished.

"Why don't you try? You just have to channel the energy of a fireball through a precise point at the end of your finger." Ignia suggests, smiling.

Abigail attempts to do the same, but instead creates a firey explosion. Of course, neither Abigail or Ignia are harmed in the slightest by it.

"See, you're trying to compress the power into a precise point, instead of letting it flow through. If you do that, you're going to make an explosion," Ignia explains, "You need to build up the energy of a fireball, but flow it like a stream."

Abigail continues trying to get the trick to work, while Ignia seems happy to mentor her.

 

Ruby shows herself.
"How about a little brimstone for the fire?" She asks, grinning as she mimics Ignia's gesture with a napalm-like substance, dirt burning to ash.

 

"Fire is a very unstable element. You let it run wild and it will cause massive damage, even damage you didn't intend to do. However, if you can learn and channel that power? You'll be incredibly powerful, even with the smallest spark." Ignia says, seemingly unimpressed by Ruby's desire to show off.

 

"Hon, I'm bored and you're not helping. I augmented Abigail's weapon; you game or no?" She says bluntly.

 

"If we have enough time for that, certainly." Ignia says calmly.

 

"Well, I'm very stubborn person."

 

"Any specific augments you'd desire?"

"Clearly... but this is just suicide!"

 

"Maybe some kind of fire augmentation?" Ignia asks, a little confused.

 

"I rather help and die, than not doing anything."

 

"I shall be able to keep myself safe."

 

Ruby sighs.
"Abigail, mind showing Ignia the little extra mobility I installed in your claws?"

Xephyr sighs, then squeezes her eyes shut as she reluctantly hands you the blades.
"Don't let Ihra see those."

"I don't doubt that. You are an immortal."

 

"Um...what was it again?" Abigail asks, extending her claws.

 

"Portalshot." Ruby tells her telepathically.

 

Cecil chuckles. "I'll do my best."

 

"Oh, right." Abigail says, shooting two portals, one below her and one a short distance away. Abigail lets herself fall through and lands on her feet upon exiting the other portal.

"That's a neat trick, but I don't see myself getting much use out of it." Ignia says respectfully.
