Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Avis nods nervously.
"I-if it'll bring mama back..."

 

"Good, good. Remember, 'Mama' just needed to lie down for a bit. She's just sleeping! Didn't she say I'd look after you?" I ask, lowering myself to Avis' height and sheathing Shadow Katana.

 

"No, mama was... wait... you did it. Mama wasn't tired until you made her tired!" Avis cries out loud.

 

I sigh, "You're smarter than you look, but not smart enough to know when to keep your mouth shut." I say with an evil grin.

 

Avis shifts into you.
"Do I look smarter now, mister?" She asks, not copying your voice.

 

I take a swing at Avis-turned-myself's neck with Shadow Katana, quickly drawing it beforehand.

 

Avis shifts again, avoiding the attack but causing a gentle breeze to blow towards the ocean as she seems to vanish.

 

I disappear too, hardly visible.

 

After about ten minutes, Avis shifts back into her normal body, glancing around before trying to dig out Xephyr.

 

Some of the sand around Avis shifts around, disturbed.

 

Avis doesn't seem to notice, starting to panic and whine.

 

Tormented looking sand creatures rise out of the very substance they're made of, crawling toward Avis.

 

Avis finally notices, letting out an unneccesarily loud screech.

 

One of the sand creatures tries to crawl over Xephyr to get to Avis, but destroys most of the ice around her in the process. A sand creature grabs Avis' back leg, sand snaking up and around her.

 

Avis spits ice at it, trying to pull away.

 

The ice seems partially effective, freezing up the sand, but there's still more of the creatures. 5 of the creatures surround Avis, moaning and crawling toward her.

 

Avis seems to vanish and reform on the outside of the ring of moving sand, spitting ice as she goes.

 

The sand creatures crawl inward, forming a single sand creature five times the size, which moves toward Avis much quicker and is less affected by the ice.

 

Avis keeps trying to resist, soon becoming tired and stopping her evasion attempts.

 

The sand monster looms over Avis, looking like it's about to smother her, before being crushed back into its source by a large, spiked ball of ice that rolls into the ocean.
