"Whaa..." Ihra looks confused, as if she saw a paradoxical event.
"She'll be okay, Ihra. Get yourself together first."
    "But-"
"No. Get yourself awake a little more. We're near the coast, but I'll fly you there if you want. Consider splashing water on your face or laying in the sun for a bit."
You succeed, and moving your feet slightly causes you to go forwards, backwards, turn...

"The harder part is gaining and losing altitude- without falling, at least. See if you can do it without messing up, but if you do, at least you know what doesn't work. Isn't that the scientific method? Try things, change it a bit, try them again?"

"Actually, the scientific method is developing a hypothesis, tes..." He starts to go on a tangent, losing his concentration and flopping on the floor. "I lost altitude, didn't I?" Lazarus states, in minor pain.

    "That... would be falling.
I'd ask what a hypothesis is, but that's less relevant than learning how to use these. Pretty sure being able to bolt is better than rambling in a bad situation."

You figure out how to gain altitude pretty quickly. Descending slowly becomes little more than looking at the ground and not panicking.
"Getting there. For now, be aware that you'll need to concentrate mostly on the bands for them to work. Over time, it can become subconscious... which helps a lot when maneuvering around terrain like forests or caves."

    "Alright then. Dragon it is."

The group enters the city with you in tail. People seem to be going about their daily lives for the most part, trying their best to ignore you, though a few shoot you a glare or a fearful look. A long way down the busy street lies a second gate, hanging open over another road.

Your group of horsemen goes through the inner gate, but stops soon after and veers abruptly to the left. They go down a wide and dark alley, which opens into a square. On the other side of the square is a large mansion.

"The general will be inside." With that, the horsemen gallop around the side of the mansion, disappearing.

"I think I'm getting it..." Lazarus is trying to not think about the cat video he watched on the way to the mainland.

I look for, then head towards the door. Knock if nobody shows.

OOC: May be worth mentioning that Vesius' eyes appear normal... they just don't actually work. He's not blind, but it's why he can't tell the difference between outside/inside or if there are even lights on/off in the room.
Trying not to think proves distracting enough.

"Don't worry, I've covered the bumps and bruises. Take your time, my daughter should be safe for a while."

OCC: Oh okay. Yep, worth mentioning.

You knock, and the door swings open on it's own. You're met with a lobby, with a staircase leading to a higher level. The orange and red haired elf from earlier is casually leaning against the stair's balcony. "Vesius, is it? The town has been expecting you."

"Uh... is that a bad thing?" I ask nervously.
I stop near the staircase, unsure where I'm wanted.

"It depends. Some people are rather distrustful of you. Myself included. But... Others absolutely adore you. No one even considered attacking the Watchers through the holes to their cores, yet you think it up in a heartbeat. Kind of insulting."

"Yeah, she's off pretty far east from here. She'd scare the lights out of you until you never woke up, judging by your reactions to me. If you equated her age to human years, I mean developmentally, she's about seven. She also has a staff that could destroy this entire dimension. I only gave it to her because it's safer in her hands than our enemies, and she's a healer."
"I don't see why anyone should trust me aside from the gods. I can't remember the last time I had an original idea... Seriously, it wasn't me. I can do some of the execution, but I'm not taking credit for what isn't mine. However, it makes sense now that I think about it... it'd be like hitting the heart or brain of a human, except a hell of a lot more taxing going it mostly alone."
I appear to meet the elf's gaze.
"Still, I'm guessing that there's a reason I'm wanted here, and since you're the only person I can see without scaring everyone, I'm hoping you're going to tell me where to go and or why I'm here."

"Yeah, the Darklands has one too. I saw another of my kind beg to be his servant... I feel horrible for her, she's been through a lot..."
I shake my head a bit.
"Sorry, already distracted. Ignore that... Um... could you tell me why I've been called here?"

"... I was more concerned about the other god. She hasn't exactly spoken to anyone in a while. But that's... interesting. Anyway, I was hoping you could tell me about your kind, more specifically the one who's been attacking us, and that you can prove you don't have any ill intentions like him."

"She's the one who told me about the vulnerabilities. As for the draconian harassing you... I would guess that's Nyre."
My hand goes to my broadsword and a tome.
"For one, he's against me and my group."
I slam my hand into the ground and fall through the floor, a portal where I stood.
A warped sound of steel clashing can be heard from outside.
The portal closes and I drop where I had been standing.
"...and if I had any ill intentions for you or the people here, I would've let him cut you where you stand."
    I sheathe my blade.
"As for my kind, that's a story that would take more than your lifespan... unless you're like us, which I doubt. Nothing personal, but last time I checked, albeit not at all recently, elves don't last centuries. If you want more specific details, say so. Otherwise, I'll try to keep it short."

"We can last a millennia... if we survive that long. That's beside the point, though. Just keep it simple."

"Alright, just the part that involves your world. Do your best not to get lost, there's no way I'm repeating this and staying sane."
I take a breath, then sit on the floor.
"There's a generations-long conflict, staged between two groups of five demigods. We're all called Fragments since our first incarnations were born out of the last breaths of our respective deity's life force. Okay, tangent... One of the deities was corrupted along with their fragments; not mine. This pit us against each other, and it's been raging on for millennia, spanning across dimensions, worlds, lifetimes... Now, our homeworld is on the brink of destruction, slowly pulled towards the Void. If that happens... we'll die, everything we've done gets reset. Erased, forever. Memories, traces, records; this is what we call true decay.
This war of ours has been raging so long, that what we thought were our prophet's delusions came true; the terminal generation. Those of us at our terminal generation cannot reincarnate; we die, part of our deity is damaged. I can only count one of us remaining not at this generation; the end is soon. Now, as brief and confusing as that is, here's where this actually comes in contact with your world:

I was ambushed by four of the opposing Fragments, and one of the spells they used created a tear in space; The Rift. Now, while you'd think I could just leave and be fine, that's where things get complicated. I have a wound that is slow to heal, that grounds me in this dimension. I can't escape, and the wound's healing cannot be accelerated in any way. Thus, as much as I hate to say it, this world, for the good or bad, will be the stage of the final battle.

Okay, I know that was a bit off to the side, but that's the bulk of it. Otherwise, we're essentially demigods that are dragons. We are tied to emotions or aspects, and have additional special abilities based on that and our elemental aspect. To keep things shorter than they could be, I am the Fragment of Redemption, a Terra draconian. I can't breathe fire, but if you notice tunnels outside, that's my substitute; I can shatter anything from stone to solid metal using that breathweapon. Furthermore, light level doesn't affect my vision, and I have abnormally good stamina... when tunneling."

    I get up.
"Sorry, I know it's confusing. I can't keep it brief and have it make sense."

"Ok, this was what I thought it was. It's a Wind Dragon. They don't usually go out of their homes though... Either go back to Aurilon or try to get round it and to the Darklands... no, the Lost Kingdom is closer. No monster ever goes there. I'll try to keep the Wind Dragon away from you."
I cloak myself in my dark aura and fly towards the direction of the Wind Dragon.
Now that it is closer, it is more visible. It looks like any other dragon, except for the fact that it is a lot smaller than a usual dragon and has an unusually metallic, silver scale colour.
It seems to be cloaked in wind, which might be why it was hard to see from a distance.
The dragon lets out a shriek which seems metallic, as if it were completely made of metal, though the Wind Dragon seems to be completely natural.
