Hello, Ruby. You're a new odd concept. You tempt fate, spit at it, and the next minute you're back to not caring.
I suppose she does take after her mother...

Ruby's magic interacts directly with the life force of something. She's unable to physically mend herself (in case of blood loss or broken bones), but were you to cut her dozens of times and leave her intact, she can still exact her will upon an attacker.

She is conscious in sleep and, since she prefers to have her eyes shut, it's sometimes hard to tell if she's asleep or awake.

Her power has a cost; it's self generating, but her body can only take so much. If she doesn't expel it, she'll melt. She can't stop or slow the generation of energy.
However, were you to time one of her overloads...

And I finally made a draft of pretty much the first measurement system adapted/created/whatever for the rp.

    Charges.
(Yeah, it took a while. I think I have it down, though... I hope)

The base unit is 1 charge.
1 charge is defined as the amount of magical energy a human body can contain and not be at risk of melting.

Draconians can hold a base of 2 charges, Fragments can hold three.

Ruby can hold up to 20 charges and uses a circular function of sorts as a generation method. Once she hits her 20 charge cap, it takes 5 more charges to trigger her end.
(ie; the more energy she has, the faster she regains energy)
Ihra can hold 500 charges, but her awoken abilities max out at 100 charges. She can store 3 at a time and, as long as she's in sunlight, safely contains a charge every 20 posts or so. Sleeping accelerates this.

Charges can describe either mana, life energy, soul energy, or dark mana (Void energy). There is a 1:1:1:1 conversion between all types of Charges.

Even 1 charge allows a magic user to use powerful spells, though charges can only measure the amount of energy used out of storage. Spells that use energy from their surroundings aren't limited by a charge capacity (or melting point, if you will) of the caster.

Items can also hold varying amounts of charges. The typical staff can hold 1 and the typical wand can hold half a charge.

If you have any questions about the charges, please ask. As a (sort of) new concept in the rp (it's really just been unfinished for about ever), it's not yet polished (just like a lot of things... I'm trying my best, I swear) and anything I can do to bring it closer to being set in stone is more than welcome.

5 (Gaia's Breath): Small boost to physical regeneration and slows the effects of poisons for nearby allies
10 (Shattered Soul): Enables resurrection of previous fallen Fragments, at the cost of 3 charges.
15 (Exden Immora): Raises chance of successfully healing mortal wounds.
15 (Legendary Sage): Passively increases effects of bodily abilities.

20 (Inherited Apocalypse): Mimic Vei's ultimate, Apocalypse, at the cost of 5 charges.

25 (Perfect Radiance): Radiant no longer harms allies, but costs 2 charges per use.

50 (Inherited Controller): Mimic Xlentia's ultimate, Neo-Controller, at the cost of 30 charges.

100 (?????): It's plot relevant and you want to do it. I promise.

Preface: Literally everything Ruby does costs charges. Anything that doesn't is minor and she can perform at no cost.

    -LIMITS-
    3 and below: Fall dormant
    5: Barely able to levitate
    10: Passive Aura activates
20: Horns are fully colored, she looks for any excuse to vent her energy, energy constantly leaks out her claws (on both her hands and feet)
From 20-25, she can only use combat abilities. Any ability will be supercharged and set her to 10 charges.
23: She enters a state of constant pain and will fry the nearest just-about-anything to save herself.
25: You get to watch her disintegrate. She only falls unconscious after the excess energy is done eating at her soul. Yes, it's painful, and yes, she feels all of it.

    -NOTABLE ABILITIES-
1 (Smithing): Though it looks like a lot of energy, most of it is used to avoid blasting the materials to oblivion. On the bright side, all that control allows for impossibly precise craftsmanship.
3 (Feedback): Three charges directly from her body to yours, and it leaves the target too fast to be used. Yes, it hurts.
5 (Assimilation): Absorb an opponent after melting them into concentrated energy. She then absorbs their essence, gaining the full extent of their knowledge to add to her library.
10 (Void Prism): A scaled-down version of Neo-Controller that still hurts like all hell, still prevents teleportation, and still blasts the victim with horrifically concentrated (and contained - enough to not blow up Xlentia's palace whilst used inside the library) antimatter-infused Void energy

20 (Exalted Dawn - Blood Ruby): Drain the victim of all charges, merge it with Ruby's life force, and force the fate upon the victim. Added charges also get doubled as a result of the supercharge.

    My concept of magic is:

Everyone has magic in various amounts. The 'cap' varies from being to being, 'gods' having near infinite amounts while humans having the least. Some people are born with an affinity to magic, and thusly have more than the average human would, as well as being able to increase this amount through training.

Guardians have about ten times the magic of a human, due to their relation with elements and such, and the fact they're heavy magic users.

Magic, after being used, slowly comes back; sort of like energy. If you use too much magic at once, you'll find yourself exhausted. If you use all of your magic, however, you will die; as it is tied to your 'life'.

Typically, a spell to bring back the dead or heal a killing blow will drain the magic of the average human. This is where 'Mage Crystals' must be employed. Mage Crystals are most commonly known to have three uses: Storing Magic and Storing Spells (Passive and Active).

A mage crystal can be charged with magic to store it for either quicker regeneration, or for a substitute for a caster's own magic so they don't die. The amount of magic that can be stored in a crystal varies in size.

A mage crystal can also be used to passively store spells. This will allow a caster to easily use a spell without having to cast it. Breaking or activating the crystal is enough to 'use' the spell, however it will drain the crystal of magic.

The final use for a mage crystal is to actively store spells. This is a rather hard process, as it requires essentially two spells. One spell must be used to allow the crystal to regenerate its own magic, much like a normal being, while the other is a spell of the caster's choice. An example of this could be a simple fire spell, causing the crystal to be lit on fire all while it is active.

That all seemed surprisingly similar to what Luphyx does; namely, he condenses his magic into solid objects (generally weapons, but also occasionally armor) and just leaves them in out in the open. At any given moment, Luphyx has full awareness of all his magical energy (as his magic is his life force), and can pinpoint the exact location of the nearest object (hence he gave 13 a dagger). If extremely drained, he can teleport to it and reabsorb the energy used to create it, or if the weapon is even used in battle, it augments the wielder's sight as they gain slight awareness of the movement of light (effectively spider sense).

Primal draconian who is a preserver. Sacrificed most bodily functions to turn herself into a vessel of energy. The more energy she has, the more she generates. If she has too much, she'll melt. If she has too little, she'll melt as she falls on the ground.

Her wings are useless, her horns are as large as she is tall, and she levitates. If she touches dirt or sand (sometimes gravel), she'll melt.

But she's a bit arrogant. And by a bit I mean rather.

    My reaction when I first saw it;

Dragon you are fighting on asks to wake up Ihra to be healed.

First thing you do is put him out of his misery with a golem.

    Then you enter a freefall.

Then I just gave up trying to make sense of the situation.
