Unscrambling Some Lore

Anyways, the text on Bob's Diary isn't obfuscated or whatever (assuming you're thinking of the text that constantly switches letters between other letters repeatedly at lightning speed) However, it is something that is possible to figure out.

 

It aint? I thought it was... But if it's something possible to figure out, I am gonna try to figure it out!

I have an idea for you: don't read the threads with his profile next to them? This is a perfectly valid group to consult for help with theory-related issues. If you don't like it, don't read it.

The lore is hardly out-dated, it has (almost) all been confirmed as canon. He's doing investigations into the plot. I totally fail to see a problem other than your snarky attitude.

 

I thank you for supporting me, but he has already apologized and I have already forgiven. Its the other people who are all attitude and no logic that I find the most annoying.

 

I actually go on purpose to spyro's threads because in a lot of them he does bring up a lot of valid points.
my problem isn't the fact that he is spamming the forums, my problem is that he is posting a couple of useless threads (Fruma Terminology he could have asked that in the sb or a profile post and saved us seeing that thread) that are clogging up the forums. its ok to post some useless threads once in a while but we are after 9/7 and a lot of the good quality content and theorist are gone so when new people come to the forums they look at his threads as a reference, if they happen to look at one of his better threads that's fine, but if they happen to look at his useless threads they will make their threads on par with those which will lead to a decrease in the thread quality on the forums.

personally I would like to see spyro post more threads but only if they have a point.

 

I am sorry that my threads are not as good as you might have hoped. I do really try to not post useless ones, but every now and then one slips out. I do have a few threads planned that have been on hold because I do not feel like I can say enough currently to make them worth while.

I thank you for your advice and will look to improve.

If you tried Pirate language (might also want to check other languages, starting with UK English (or British English whatever they have it listed as)) and that failed your only option is to find/make a language pack yourself (and to be super clear this goes in the minecraft files for language not a resource pack).

The transcript for the forum would be:
"Þá hwa bèon unmedome blódhræ ne þurhrædeaþ þás sect"
which I think would be literal:

Þá = then (when the word stands at the beginning of a clause and may be translated by then, the verb generally precedes its subject)
hwa = who (the nominative/subject of the sentence)
bèon unmedome = being unfit (or "are unworthy" when translated literal)
blódhræ = to spit blood (blód-hrǽcan would be the infinitive, "blódhræ" imperative singular)
þurhrædeaþ = þurh- /through/ + rædan /to read/ (þurhrædeaþ would be 3rd-person singular or plural or imperativ plural, but there´s no context)
ne = negation particle which preceded the word that is negated

Now, deciphering this is a little bit difficult without having the full context.

Man! I was really hoping that was it. The cult would be Wynn Excavation, and the blood being spilled perhaps was Amadel killing the old leader to gain power. If that was the text, we could go on and theorize how Bob and perhaps Nilrem were part of Wynn Excavation but left when Amadel took control...

so I looked on your new attempt. The first one made more sense. But I think I know what language it's in.

Wynn is old english for World
Dern is old english for Mystery
Fruma is old english for Prime

Wynncraft seems to really like old english. Could this text perhaps be in old english? If so we would need like an engilsh or history major to crack it

It a mix between Old Englisch and an assimilation of Middle English (as I said, some vowels already seem softened). I'm an Old Norse Major and we work very close with the other branches (but mostly I'm working with (Old) Icelandic thats why I get many things confused). :D I think an English Major would translate roughly the same but could get more out of the context.

 

I think I saw somewhere that a mod said this specific text was just show show, but I cant remember for sure.

 

If that was true, why would tantibus be pushing on our discoveries
