Troll's Twisty Tower

So I was exploring the map earlier online and found a strange looking island. I then went to it ingame. I found this.
Outside view:

After a long, strange, tight parkour up the tower, you come to an NPC.

Nothing else is really up here except a place to jump off into a small pool of water. Lets hope I live.
So yeah.

There should be a tier III chest behind the Troll. Looks like it didn't spawn tho.

 

I feel like this was added to mess with players during the ??? hunt because the tower looks like a giant mushroom.

 

And it looks exactly like skien's painting.
