To All The Assassins Out There: How Do You Do It?

Assassin is probably the best early game class. Because of all the tight caves, you can easily escape them with vanish, while other classes use vanish. I don't get what you're talking about upgrades, you just need to, again , strategize. As for evading, you literally need 3 mana to escape. If you were stupid enough to waste mana, just wait like 4 seconds, not long enough to die, and your gud. This is basically the same as other classes, except assassin can escape caves

 

I am an Assassin LvL 55 and I feel Assassin's spells are awesome, focus on intel and vanish will only cost you 1 mana at some point and vanish even acts as upgraded escape spell for 10 seconds and it acts as mini charge spell. I LUV Assassin.

level 75 really doesnt prove anything anymore .-.

no ._______________. just do.... multi hit, multi hit, (now boss is in corner) spin attack, smoke bomb, spin attack,[...], smoke bomb. Should enemy be ranged use superior walk speed and shit for dodging .-.

How do you know that if you have a level 75 assassin?

 

Two things.
1) If you are evading after attacking with a spin attack or multi hit (or both) your spell counter will go up making the vanish cost more.
2) Even if the vanish spell only cost 3 mana in an emergency situation, you still wont be able to regen mana while you're escaping, which is really fucking important since you eat up a fuckload of mana as an assassin.

Okay this is something that I always hear from people who defend the assassin class: "oh you just have to think more" "oh it requires more strategy" and other arguments in this mold. Now im not against being forced to think or use more strategy, i think that it adds to a game. But saying that one class requires more strategy or skill than all the other classes is an admission of the assassins lack of balance.

 

it gets balanced out by the fact that using strategy is far more effective with assassin (imo obviously) than with the other classes (dunno about archer). If you are able to combo with assassin your dps output is insane .____________. and thats what makes up for it. Imagine using spin attack, smoke bomb and multi hit at the same time... thats an insane combo and deals a crazy amount of dmg. Another combo basically would be to combo smoke bomb and spin attack which increases your dmg by a lot and allows you unhindered movement. Do you not see the enormous potential this comboing has? In my opinion it more than makes up for the fact that you need to think

 

no its not... before gavel (and after the eula) you needed 60 total levels in order to create an assassin but now for some reason its gone

 

You want to know how I got my assassin to level up? I just used spin attack a lot. You should try and put some SP into dex and intel, so that you can have decent dmg and your spin attack doesn't cost fucking 6 mana.

 

Spells only go up in cost if you cast the same spell 2 or more times in a row

I have an Assassin build with no mana regen
It works quite well since I only need to occasionally use spin attack to cancel mob spells, the rest of the time I just melee hit
Also Vanish costs 2 mana at max rank, and most of the time you can get away with jumping, casting it, then canceling it
The mobs won't agro onto you for a couple seconds, and by jumping when you get the mini charge you go a few blocks, and can then sprint/walk away while you regen your mana more

This isn't even mentioning the fact that Pre Gavel Assassin (it was bugged I know) I would hang around in Death's room in ToA for 10-15 minutes killing everything over and over for fun
Assassin is perfectly fine as long as you combo spells correctly
