The kid notices the blood on your hands and gets startled.

"What do you mean?" he says frantically backing away. The father still hasn't woken up and it appears the kid was making lunch while you were away. Smells like soup.

What now?

It's made of wood. The amulet has an owl engraving in it with two gems for the eyes.

The owl gets in the way again and pecks at Tier's feet when he gets close.

"I shouldn't have expected a child to understand the power of an ancient artifact," he seems to be talking to himself now.

Perhaps it's best to leave while the owl goes insane.

heya, would i be able to join this, or am i too late?

 

Seeing him back away I look down and notice the blood on my hand "Ahh this looks bad, but I can explain. There was a fight between some teens. Well more like torture. The one they were attacking is bearly alive, but can most likley be saved if I get him to thr hospital. Can you help me carry him?"

 

Are there any vines nearby or plant materials that I can turn into rope about?

If so: make some and try to grab the owl to tie it up.

If not: "Mhm, you should start explaining then before I break it."
Lightly kick it to the side

 

Midas continues to wait while the people fortify and rebuild

 

Ah yes, they should probably talk to Jay. Hold on didn't they already do that, where it was explicitly discussed that this wasn't either of their worlds. Nico and Will look around the room for anything that could help them determine where they are

"Uhhh..." the kid looks finnicky. Perhaps they don't like the sight of blood. "Yes," he decides after some time. He puts on some oven mitts though... the closest thing to gloves that are readily available. You and the kid go outside into the alleyway and find the wounded teenager on the floor. He's still unconscious. You and the kid carry the teenager for an excruciating 40 minutes until you reach the hospital. You take the wounded teenager to your office before realizing you aren't really the correct type of doctor for this job. You need to get another doctor for this in less than 20 minutes.

What now?

There aren't really vines, it's kinda like a redwood forest.

So you kick the amulet to the side. The owl attempts to snatch it back but you pick it up before you lose it.

"You fool! What do you think you're doing!"

Maybe the owl is more willing to comply to questions now.

An hour passes. There's still no news of any counter attacks forming from Detinu and Panami... strange actually. The news is deadly quiet and talking about anything other than politics.

2 hours until midnight.

What now?

Well, the furniture is old style and it reminds Nico a bit of his life before going into the casino and skipping time.

Nico and Will find a map of the city and it shows all the streets... but the language is unreadable and makes the map very unhelpful. Maybe Jay can help with the language barrier with his spell.

What now?

 

Since I've worked in the hospital for many years I'd probably know who the best guy for the job is. I'll go and try to find them

 

Ah, I meant to kick the owl, since it was pecking my feet. T^T

"Just seeing what it does, since you aren't telling me."
Look for a sharp rock and pick it up.

 

Where is Jay?

 

You find an all rounded doctor who has performed a couple surgeries requiring quick stitching. Not exactly ideal but you need to get back to the alleyway quick since running from the hospital to the kid's house is already about 20 minutes.

You only have about 15 minutes left. You need to figure out a fast way to get back, otherwise, you won't make it... or you can just hope that the spy sticks around for an extended duration of time.

What now?

There's a large stone that's has a sharp edge on the ground which you pick up.

"And why should I tell you?" the owl snarls.

He is in his room which is right next to Nico's and Will's rooms.

 

Nico and Will head over to Jay's room and knock on the door

 

"This is probably the only time I'd like one of those boxes with wheels or something like that" I'll look around to see if i notice anybody in a car or any other vehicle If not I probably have to hope he waits as i run

 

Moments later, the door opens and Jay says, "Oh uh, hi. Do you guys need anything?"

As if on cue, Hikof appears on the street in his automobile. You wonder why he decided to stop by the hospital again but you need him to get you back to the kid's house.

 

I'll run up to him and ask "hey are you busy?"

 

“No...” he looks at you and the soaked teenager. “Do you need a ride again?”

 

"Yeah, can you take us to (insert location the meeting point)?"

 

"Sure, hop in."

The ride takes 7 minutes. You thank Hikof but this time, he doesn't feel like sticking around and leaves quickly. The kid returns to eating his cold soup and you rush into the alleyway 8 minutes early on time.

...

Eight minutes later, the spy appears again.

"Did you save the kid?" he says with an uncaring voice. He's just making small talk.

 

Apologies for the lack of responses, I've been busier than expected. I'm back to normal posts until further notice.

"Of course, of course. Thanks for the food."

Mikos will eat the food offered, then talk to Aliruja again.

"So, I can't decide which matter is more urgent, keeping an eye out for those to the north, or going to Notingburg to try to make contact with this Midas fellow without dying. And with the time barriers falling tomorrow, I'm running out of time to think over this. What do you think?"

 

"I got him to the hospital, and left him with someone who can do hopefully save him... alrigth what happens now?"
